Americans are far too concerned with labels. Good governance is not something that can wholly be claimed by any partisan political entity but should be something accountable to the people and in service of the people.

Trump is self-serving and has not done anything in service of anyone but himself or anything that benefits his business interests so far. He keeps creating solutions to non-existent problems. Not to mention nearly all of his policies are wildly fiscally irresponsible. This should be a huge problem for you even as a conservative as these are your tax dollars being wasted on frivolous and completely unnecessary things.

This is aside from the overwhelming amount of evidence of corruption and Russian influence. Which would put him on the traitorous Benedict Arnold side of things. Except this guy actively avoided the draft and military service.

Further more on conservatism and fiscal responsibility. $18 million would not have to be cut from education and meals on wheels purely if Melania Trump lived in the White House. This is not to mention the incredible amounts spent on his weekend trips to golf in his resort (i.e. pocketing public money into his own resort) in which his travel and security expenses for one month have already exceeded Obama's entire yearly travel/security budget.

So your kids are getting a sh*ttier education and you are paying for his golf trips. That should make you mad already.

Add to this all of the blatant and verifiable lies, on even the most innocuous of topics, and the strawman arguments whenever there is any controversy with his claims or things he does shows he is not serving the people. He has zero regard for responsible governance and shows incredible entitlement in his actions. All government accountability rules are merely an inconvenience to him and that type of attitude should be extremely concerning from an entirely bi-partisan standpoint.

I'm not watching the Intelligence Committee, but the thread I'm following seems to suggest that Comey confirmed that the RNC was hacked by the Russians as well but that the info was not released? (From Republican Stefanik's questions). If so, that's quite huge (I know it had been rumoured before), as it creates the possibility that the whole party was essentially being blackmailed. Was anyone watching that exchange?

Yes, this has been a huge revelation.

Makes you wonder about the news reports of Paul Ryan, how deep does this russian penetration go?

Salon had some reporting on the connection between Ryan and Russia that I found interesting but not convincing.

This is a huge new wrinkle.

The FBI confirmed, back in January, the Russians penetrated the RNC and retrieved emails from their servers as well.

The best part of the testimony given by Comey was a senator reading Trumps live-tweeting of the testimony and having Comey have to AGAIN correct the freakin' president of the united states that he was full of ####.

Katy Tur comes out and calls it 'gaslighting'.
Can't believe it's taken months for this to become accepted.

I would also say, broadly, as Canadians - no matter what label you want to give yourself or apply to others politically - we see this from a different, disassociated perspective. What he does affects us, but quite frankly we don't have skin in the game.

Why is the President wasting taxpayer money stroking his ego with campaign style rallies 2 months after entering the White House? Honest question, what value does this provide, and how does it jive with the so called fiscal conservatives.
Also curious your thoughts on him spending $10M a month travelling to the Southern White House? Seems pretty excessive for someone who complained about Obama golfing all the time.
