Brouwer's job on that goal is actually to stop the point man breaking in from the point, nit manage Kopitar.
He tried to go to him once he broke free, but someone else list their man first.
Like I've already said, not blaming him for the goal. I was typing that before the goal went in and even typed something similar the shift before that. He's not skating tonight at all.
True. Up until this season it's always been the Kings getting away with #### on Flames players left and right.
About time the Flames showed they won't be the ones getting ragdolled.
Exactly. Flames have been pillow soft for years. The "big bad" Kings and Ducks have been pulling that kind of quick dirt for years and have been lauded for it. Fight fire with fire

Would like to see it slow motion, did he throw the elbow? Otherwise that throw back into to the defender move happens all the time, and maybe just caught Doughty in a bad spot.
Tough to call, Tkachuk likely doesn't get the benefit of the doubt given his tendencies, but Doughty is a pretty underrated actor as well.

It is true. Rewind to 4:50 and watch Brouwer do that then come back and say it isn't true.
He is a no heart bum this season. Zero effort and doesn't even stand up for his teammates. The letter should be ripped off his jersey.
Gotta agree with most of this but if we value veterans like Stajan than I think we need to put Brouwer in the same category. Vets play a role especially with a young team like ours
John Shannon thinks that the Flames org. was "nervous" coming in to this game. That's dumb.
What a ridiculous thing to say about a team who is comfortably (for now) in a playoff spot, while the Kings are on the outside looking in. Not to mention the Flames have a pretty good record against the Kings over the last little while. What would they possibly be nervous about?
That was a bit of a greasy move by Tkachuk, but I don't care this time. If you're going to walk into the playoffs, you better walk in with a chip on your shoulder. Especially considering a team like the Ducks who have historically manhandled the Flames are staring you in the face.

Well, it's a one goal game against a team desperate for playoff hockey and two Stanley Cups to their name, with 40 minutes left. This is not the Avs, so take nothing for granted guys.
