Insider trading Canadian teams focus:
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/insider-...-teams~1067474
Montreal:
Bergevin will keep trying until 11th hour
tried on Hanzal and Boyle (even offered a 2nd for Boyle)
checked in on Alex Burrows
checked in on Hansen but Montreal isn't on his approved trade list
Ottawa:
deal on the table for Lazar is 2nd round draft pick - but that isn't good enough for senators
if Sens move Lazar it will need to be for a better draft pick or top prospect
Leafs:
may use cap muscle because of all the guys they have on LTIR ~$13 million in cap space
so have capability to take a big contract if it gives them a premium asset
Flames:
they don't want to be done...
Vrbata is a player of interest but looking at other forwards as well
LeBrun doesn't think they will make a move on goaltending but something to keep an eye on
Also maybe looking to make a move on defence
Flames could be a team that does a couple of things before the draft and tonight's game might influence that
Jets:
interest in drew stafford - will be traded tonight or tomorrow
wants a defenceman - expressed interest in Quincey but doesn't seem to be a fit there
maybe some minor moves besides stafford
Oilers:
eyeing a veteran backup - hearing Halak, Neuvirth
would really like to get a 3rd line center to allow them to move Draisaitl to McDavid's wing
