Problem is tonight's not the night for reaming the players out. He's not wrong, they did come out to play tonight. If Marner didn't make a beautiful tip it's a tie game and most fans are happy with the first as a well played period on the road.

Gripping the sticks tight, having no finish, and frankly not being as talented as the other team is not a good reason to tear into your team.

As much as we talk about the end of the goon, we need to talk about still needing some toughness in the lineup, not to fight but to give other teams at least some reason to pause and think through their strategy.

I would think it makes sense to get one of two players that are heavier players with a mean streak. Ferland and Bouma should be those guys but they really haven't been this year.

I've always said that a good team has it share of Aholes, and MT is an Ahole but at the same time I don't think anyone is scared of him on the ice.

If you look at the Oilers with a loose canon like Kassian, your aware of him when he's out there because he's a crazed jerk.
This is exactly the problem.

Other teams know they can take all the liberties the want w/#13 and no one will step up...so they do.

Team doesn't seem to be having fun. Even in the winning times this year, they weren't having fun.

That's the weird part to me. Why isn't the team having fun anymore?

If not for a hot streak from Johnson, this team would be in Avs territory.

I sure hope they don't jump the gun and fire everyone too quick, we'd probably end up with GM Maloney and coach Cameron. That's a terrifying thought.

It's like the teams mad at him for his contract or something. He has been putting up with this since the season started.

At least the Avs (Iggy) scored tonight.

Yeah I agree we weren't equally talented tonight, but if we can't win the talent match, we better be the more physical team. We have the guys who can hit, but they weren't playing that game tonight. That's on the coach to get them playing that way.

This isn't worth three hours a night at home on your couch. If I paid $250/seat to watch this night in and night out, I would be livid.
We had an "exciting" team under Hartley. They were worse. The Flames are not as deep as we imagine them to be. Our options at the moment are run and gun and ultimately lose while being out matched or attempt to play as a team and hopefully do better. As bad as the goaltending is this year it was worse last year with nothing in front of them.

Unfortunately it's been a bad few weeks. Rewind two weeks and things were going well. This is a slump, they'll get over it and they'll likely finish in the mix for a wild card spot. Hopefully on the right side of the line!

Embarrassing. How can they come out with that effort after what happened against their rival only a couple days ago? Pathetic.

Sign me up for more torture tomorrow. Calgary Flames, I can't quit you, but I really want to.

I was at the game tonight, Flames are small and weak, get pushed around way too much. Need to get bigger and show some emotion.

This I agree with. Problem is they're also struggling to score. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The fact that the team still sits where it does is a testament to how good the Tkachuk/Backlund/Frolik line has been all year.

I'm not a "fire Gulutzan" guy because I've seen some huge strides in a couple areas that were tire fires last year. But the big steps back from some key players is hugely concerning.

Worst of all, Gulutzan talked a lot about the Flames playing an entertaining style of hockey this year and that hasn't been the case.

I try not to get too emotionally invested in the team, but it's hard not to be downright pissed off right now. Looking forward to making my videos for the Tkachuk/Backs/Frolik trio, but the rest... yikes.
You should make a tribute to our goaltending over the last two seasons, and then get that to trend for as long as it takes for this organization to fix it. Give it your usual awesome treatment, but all the plays are boneheaded, saveable softies.

Ownership should be #%$&ing worried.

Yep it's me your resident oldest season ticket holder (in the sense since day one at the Corral). The talk among many of my long standing season ticket holder friends is that's it, unless something drastic happens none of us are renewing next year.

I hope for ownership's sake the wait list is long.

But go ahead raise ticket prices anyway.
