Despite the shot count, I thought that the Flames were underwhelming. Too many shots from the perimeter, not enough traffic in front of Miller, and still a problem with turnovers.

I couldn't disagree more. When the goalie makes a save vs not, the chance always seems less dangerous. We had three times as many chances like the ones the Canucks scored on.

I agree to disagree. Glen Gulutzan also mentioned that the Flames will need to play a more north south game in order to win tonight.

I agree, the Flames easily out skilled the Canucks but they didn't intimidate them. I'm looking for big games from Ferland and Hathaway tonight.

Exactly! Part of why the Backlund line is doing so well is the fact they keep it simple and shoot (accurately) a lot.
At least two other lines could learn from that.
