It has nothing to do with being biased.

Price? Captain Pacioretty? ...Subban has never been Montreal's best player.

And the fact his teammates didn't nominate Subban for the King Clancy award in a year when he donated $10m to a children's hospital (they nominated Pacioretty) suggests he's regarded differently inside the team than he is by fans.

The fact you think Pacioretty is better than Subban is laughable.

There's a difference between having an opinion and believing something that's not true.

I don't doubt that Subban can rub some people the wrong way but this would suggest more to me about the room than it would about the player.

Wonder what the fans are thinking about the trade so far? Weber 7 points and +10, Subban 5 points and -4 (with 3 horrific turnovers that I have seen).
To me Weber is the type of player the Habs needed, same offense with way better defense.

I think most people thought it would be decent short term for the Habs...not sure about the long term. Still seems like an odd trade from both sides to me

At the moment that may be true but it's the back end of the Weber contract that will eventually kick the Habs in the ars.

Help, save, whatever.

I think for a team like Nashville who are always trying to get more people out to the games Subban is just a better fit. He's a more exciting player and he's more personable/charismatic. He has that ability to attract new fans.
Montreal doesn't really need a player like that so a Weber is fine. He's boring and more reserved but Canadiens don't need a big personality to help get attention in Montreal. They just need a responsible D-man.

The back end of that contract could kick both Montreal and Nashville in the arse.

Aside from losing a old D man (no big loss) it's really just nashville that should be really really worried.
