Ya weirdly enough so far most of what I have seen is overwhelmingly positive... this is all some massive prank just to get my hopes up.
Although what I have seen/heard through leaks has peaked my interest. Few more days and we will see I guess.

I was pretty skeptical after that one random reddit post was referenced again and again and again. I'm even skeptical after TDKR got 100% or whatever on RT and stellar reviews and then I ended up thinking it was a steaming pile of trash. But it is hard not to be optimistic when so many people are saying ignore that second crappy trailer, which is where a great deal of skepticism was confirmed.

From what I have read everyone is saying that second trailer isn't even close to the whole story, or even an accurate depiction of the flow of the story. So that makes me happy and hopeful. I want this movie to be good, I really do.. just so much to overcome.

I'm the same. I really want this to be awesome but theres so many warning flags popping up.
Could you imagine if this was awesome and Affleck nails Batman and we can look forward to more epic Batman movies? I'd love that, but my cynicism is on full alert.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I must say, for someone presumably used to combat that outfit doesnt offer that woman much in the way of protection.
Also why is there some child in what looks to be a sun hat on the far right?
How dare you! That's Monkey D Luffy! He will be Pirate King one day!
But seriously, the anime is pretty awesome. Looks like a kids show, but the story arcs are pretty adult in nature. Fight scenes are absolutely brutal too.
I'll be honest in saying that I had a pretty pessimistic attitude toward this movie after seeing the first couple trailers, but these early reviews are giving me hope. I'm actually getting pretty excited to see it.
The final trailer is what lifted my spirits for this movie. Batman blocking Superman's punch with that guitar riff is awesome enough all on it's own to make me want to see the movie.
That trailer looks very promising - not sure why the went with that second trailer just not nearly as good as anything else they put out for this.
It seems as though they were actively trying to misdirect the audience in order to conceal the real twists in the movie.
After seeing the first couple of trailers, you'd assume the plot was good guys fight. Doomsday shows up. Good guys are friends. A bunch of other good guys show up.
It looks like the actual plot will far more complex. Doomsday (although I think it would make more sense to call that character Bizarro) is playing a relatively small role.
The marketing team really underestimated the bias the potential audience was likely to form upon seeing such bad and simple trailers. Particularly as the trailers paralleled the Civil War trailers in many ways.
I am hoping that Doomsday we saw isn't the real deal. He will either continue to evolve growing bigger with longer spikes or that was Doomsday one, they kill him and iteration two comes out etc.. both versions would be accurate(ish) to his origins.
Doomsday was created based on a lot of trial and error which also explains why he is so angry and hell bent on destruction. Pure evil.

Doomsday is interesting as well in that it provides a decent jump point for the creation of the Justice League in their movie.
Doomsday traditionally will be killed and then will evolve to allow him to not be killed again.
So say that Wonder Woman, Superman, & Batman work together with their powers to defeat Doomsday it means he will evolve and come back with an ability to defend against their powers.
It then means that in the Justice League movie the team has to combine in order to use Flash, Aquaman, & Cyborg powers to help in the battle against Doomsday.
So, I'm a moron and went down the rabbit hole of spoilers and found a synopsis that someone wrote after seeing the movie. Obviously no way to prove that it's real, but piecing everything together I have no reason to believe it isn't legitimate. Much more legit that the other one that was floating around awhile ago.
Though I feel like a moron for reading it, Im the rare type that kinda enjoys spoilers.
That being said the story sounds well thought out. Not a convoluted plot, but a more complex plot than your typical CBM, in a good way.
The film has now outsold all superhero films to become Fandango's top pre-selling superhero movie ever. According to Fandango, 90% of tickets sold for this weekend have been for "Batman v Superman," allowing the Zack Snyder-directed film to pass previous record-holders 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises" and 2015's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
That projection will still not pass Furious 7 though for biggest pre summer blockbuster.

I'm a little confused by that. They don't give an actual indication of what the record is. All they mention is that it sold 90% of the tickets, but that's not really impressive considering all hype movies probably dominate pre-sales. No one buys presale tickets for Age of Adeline to avoid line ups. The only record that matters is whether or not it will break the advance Thursday record and that record is dubious at best. (here is why)

Buzz and hype sells tickets. Vaguely reporting on potential record breaking ticket sales without outright lying furthers that hype. Nothing we haven't seen before. Once the weekend hits, no one will care anymore about what tickets sales were "tracking" at.
For anyone interested Forbes does excellent breakdowns of the numbers for movies and their projections.

Now no matter how the whole weekend goes, I really think we’re looking at a sky-high Thursday preview gross. Just two movies have earned more than $31 million in Thursday/midnight grosses: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II ($43m) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($57m). I don’t think either of those are in peril, but merely hitting $31m would put it above The Dark Knight Rises and make it the third-biggest preview gross and the sixth-biggest total Thursday gross ever.
Quote:
The anticipation for this one has been insane among the faithful, and the only risk is that it fills up too much demand (especially if the film isn’t general audience-friendly) before the first official day. If Man of Steel can earn $21m worth of Thursday grosses ($12m on Thursday evening, $9m at midnight), then Dawn of Justice can certainly take a shot at the bronze, especially with Friday being a holiday and the Thursday numbers starting early enough for bedtime on a school night. Now we get into the Friday gross, which, yes, will include the Thursday preview numbers.
Quote:
In terms of movies opening around this time, you’ve got the $67 million Friday grosses (in 2D) for The Hunger Gamesand Furious 7. Now presuming that Dawn of Justice sells about as many tickets as those two 2D attractions, you can be “cautious” and add an extra 15% in 3D upcharges and give the film a $77m Friday gross. That would be the “realistic” best case scenario and about identical to the $75m opening Friday for The Dark Knight Rises during its July 2012 (2D) debut. That film went on to earn a low 2x weekend multiplier and snag a $160m debut weekend, good for the third-best ever at the time and still the biggest 2D opening weekend.
Quote:
So in terms relative comparisons and reasonable expectations, the best case scenario for Batman v Superman is a $31 million+ Thursday gross leading to a $75-$77m Friday leading into a frontloaded but still impressive $177m opening weekend. The worst case scenario is a $100-$110m opening weekend off a $25m Thursday and $52m Friday, but that’s just me running the doomsday (pun… intended!) numbers.
