I tend to go for hats that aren't embroidered at all, like this:

I'm not sure what you call that, but just a solid Flames logo. I'm not saying I like this particular hat, but just for illustration purposes. |
hey Cro

as a guy who owns an embroidery company... i can tell you those two caps you show above are embroidered
i think what you meant is that you don't like the "puffed" or "raised" flames logo - and i agree. i'm not a fan of the raised stitching - i think it looks bad with the flames logo. there are tons of logos where the raised stitching looks great, but in my opinion, the flaming c is not one of them

This is the beauty I wear. 2011 Draft cap. It has the problematic raised C everyone is talking about but it is also one of the most comfortable hats I've ever owned. Plus it was like $10 from River City.
Here is Marcus Granlund rocking it in his draft photo. On a related note, does anyone know why there are no pictures of Johnny like the one below of Granlund? When I searched I could find pics of Sven, Wotherspoon and Granlund but none of Johnny Hockey. They all would've done the same photoshoot in the same hat no? Was Johnny excluded? Not there? Don't do it for late rounds?

I don't look good in flat brim hats, most of the time anyway. Also snapback hats are stupid. No adult should ever wear a snapback. They are for growing children.

I'm pretty sure the photo shoot happens at the draft, which Johnny didn't attend.

I am extremely picky when it comes to Flames apparel. I find most of the hats in particular to be gaudy and quite frankly, most of the ones posted in this thread fall under this category.
My current go to Flames hat:

If you can find a local embroidery company who'd do it, it'd be pretty easy to make that design. The Flames font is available online. PM me if you need help!

My recent collection. The one the OP is looking for fits and looks the best. I hope they put out more meshbacks in the future.

I do really like the one the OP is trying to find. I googled "Calgary Flames mesh snapback" and found these two I quite like as well. They aren't mesh, but they are snapbacks.

It's got the good C's too. Not that thick ass embroidered one I hate.

Anyone get a link yet where you can purchase the OP requested hat?

Doesn't look like the hat is in production anymore, but good news!

A lady by the name of Cathy from the Saddledome Fanattic contacted me and let me know that they had the hat in stock. The reason why it isn't on their website is because they have such low quantity of them.

We ended up chatting on the phone and long story short, the hat is now on its way to my home (far away from Calgary).

Just awesome customer service and a huge props to Cathy for hooking me up!

Omg!!! I want one.

My folks still live in CGY so I could have them pick up for me or even ship it there.
