Perron is terrible, wastes the skill and work of Malkin on every shift..
The Oilstink runs deep in him. I think the only reason why Dubnyk avoided the Oilstink was that he always played the furthest away from their rotten core (who were never interested in the zone where their keeper was anyway). Anyone who spent a lot of time around that group of forwards I fear has an irreparable & deep stink stain.
That and NJ west can go suck a bag of dicks. I hope Perron infects their group and they fall off a cliff in the standings.

Gives Anaheim some wiggle room on the old cap after this season. Hagelin was signed unti 2019 and Perron and Glendening are FA's after this season. Re-signing Perron will likely be much cheaper too.

Wonder if treliving had interest in hagelin as there is a flames connection with his dad a scout for us in Sweden. Speedy winger, albeit undersized. Imagine we would have had to send Hudler (if he was healthy) and a tweener defenceman (Wotherspoon?) as a comparable to what Pittsburgh gave up.
I'm bearish about what we could get for Hudler even when he gets healthy as I don't see the rental market particularly strong. Had Hagelin been a rw and Hudler been healthy, maybe we would have had more interest. And it's debatable if Ducks would have had interest in Hudler.
Ya this trade made no sense to me. I wish the Flames could have been on this.
As I recall it was all about bringing Lovejoy back to the Pens because he was so great in the room and everyone on the team adores him. That's some darn fine GM work right there.
