Man Bennett is so solid on his skates. Can't imagine the beast he will be when he grows up.

He should be frustrated and pissed off. And he should channel it into his play.

The only part that was a little bit off was his reference to his two recent wins, which could be interpreted as "I won so I should have started". But I don't know that he meant it that way. Though he is Swiss, mind you.

Man I love Ferland. So glad he's finally playing with some real line-mates to show what he can do.

Goals aside, I'm really liking Bennett's game recently. He is going to be a very good player for us

Would have been nice to see the first line get points there. Still don't know why they took assists away on Johnny goal.

I bet the Panthers will be huge ######bags and not pull the goalie twice in the third and let someone win Safeway's score and win.

HOWEVER in a lot of the games I've looked into that the Panthers have won, it seems they're routinely outshot/chanced, sometimes by a wide margin but manage to squeak it out on the scorboard. Seems theres a bit of the 14/15 Flames effect going on with them. Opportunistic but beat in the advanced stats.
But I don't care about advanced stats, so props to them.
I still don't see them as defensive juggernauts as you seemed to claim in the GDT.
|
They are 28th in shots for, and 15th in shots against, yet they still sit atop the Atlantic. They remind me much more of the Carlyle leafs of 2012-2013 or the Avalanche of 2013-2014. Great goaltending and winning despite being badly outshot most games.

Ferland parked in front, forcing a Dman to join him. That left tons of ice for Johnny and Monahan

I'm very pleased to see us still pouring it on when we're up 5-0.

Ferland is the most dangerous player on that top line right now
