While I am sure some US Senator trying to deflect the public away from America's real problems via Congressional hearings into the NFL's concussion issues - which would obviously force the other leagues into the picture as well - the union is not about to pressure that themselves. My bet, in fact, is that the union wants as little to do with this lawsuit as possible because of issues like that. They will nominally support the players (naturally), but probably not lobby too hard otherwise.
