Totally agree. He's likely to be up soon though if Backlund is still hurt and not a 100%. I think Granlund has actually been better than Bennett in this camp, but can't imagine them sending Bennett down.

I like Geanlund a lot and would really like to see him with the big club. Little surprised at some of the chatter with Colborne. Hoping he has a big year.

Really really interesting to see what happens at end of camp.

The Fan960 morning guys pretty much had Shore gone. They figured Byron would clear easily as well. They seemed to consider Colborne a lock.

If Shore's stock has dropped like that maybe the Flames take a chance on waivers.

Honest question to all: If you were a GM for an NHL team, given what you had seen from Shore in Florida and now Calgary, would you be all that excited to grab him?

depends on my roster - if I have an opening on the 4th line, then sure.

Depends on the team make up. I think there are definitely young teams where he could play, but other teams that have log jams at forward

I could see some bottom feeder teams this season taking a chance on Shore. Vancouver could use him.

Shore looks like a 4th liner with a small chance on being a 3rd liner. I don't mind risking losing him for nothing on waivers. He's not beating out Stajan for the 4th line job.

Not at centre But is he beating out Byron or Bollig for a wing/pressbox job?

Fla could grab him and then claim they won the Knight trade big time.

The beginning of the season and its mass waiver migration is probably the best time to try and sneak Shore through waivers. The question is there a team out there that is willing to carry Shore in the NHL.

Let Granlund prove he can sustain that level over the last 2-3 games first. But yeah, I'm liking that he's showing some offensive potential again. That wicked shot of his could put up some goals this year.

Shores ceiling is where Colborne is at currently. He will probably be an NHL'er but I dont see how he gets the icetime to develop here in calgary.

At this point, if he's not making the team, I'd rather take a chance on waiving him and having him available as a call-up and maybe part of a trade package later, as opposed to trading him now for a 5th rounder (which is his value because of his contract situation).

I like having Shore in the organization, but at this point he just doesn't project as an impactful player for us at all. I would try and trade him if anyone around the league is interested, but failing that I would waive him and live with the consequences.

The results are in! After analyzing all of the results from the 2015 Calgary Flames fitness testing, the team has determined the top three performers in this year's test:

MAIN CAMP

1. Michael Frolik

2. Garnet Hathaway

3. Kris Russell

NOTE: Mark Giordano would have likely been first overall but he did not do pull-ups, which factors into the final rankings.

PROSPECT CAMP

1. Morgan Klimchuk

2. Patrick Sieloff

It's catching on! Look what Bennett started!

What is he trying to avoid being drafted by the Oilers or something?

This is exactly it. Every team knows he's not waiver exempt so teams will only grab him if they think he's an NHL player. I think most teams wouldn't bother because how would they know where Shore is in his development and also, why would they even take a risk on a player and put him on the NHL roster if they haven't really seen what kind of player he is. Just my opinion.

I doubt it. Hartley loves Byron from all accounts. Burke's a big fan of Bollig and nothing Treliving has said indicates any different. I think Shore needs to hope for an injury to stay on the opening roster.
