Agreed. Ever since playoffs started there's been some downgraded company on here.

He was always a doosh, injured or not.

It was funny that some people though it could be a heart attack, I mean when has he ever played with heart or shown any heart during a game at all?
The guy is a diver and made a bigger deal out of a broken rib than most anyone would. I still don't care for him as a player or a human. I don't hope he sustains any life threatening complications but it's refreshing to see him spend time injured after he's injured so many others.

Well a broken rib would make it very difficult for him to play for the rest of the series.

If he plays that was probably too much injury disclosure for the coach's liking.

I've had 3 broken ribs on one side. Last thing I could do was scream for help. It was all I could do to breath.

Ohhh man....broken rib = worst pain/ recovery in my life and i've had knee surgery!
Kind of strange that they divulged that info.....a couple elbows to the area would be excruciating!

What is the likely prognosis for a broken rib? A week, a month, one game?

He said 'help'. That's all we know. Unless he said "I'm dying, get me an ambulance" I don't see how he made a big deal out of it. I've broken ribs before, it's hard to breathe and it hurts like heck. The medical personal at the Dome probably thought it was worth getting check out at the hospital, which is correct. For all we know Burrows didn't even want to go to the hospital at all.

Just disgusting. It's a game, and no one loathes Burrows more than I do but that crosses a line, and makes you just as bad as the huge array of bad apples in Vancouver's fan base.
|
Correct, it's just a game. And I don't want burrows to play it any more. He can do whatever else he wants with his life.

I'm just hoping his doosh rib is well enough to that his doosh face can take a regular shift and receive a righteous Ferland fist to the mouth.

Bergeron missed zero games with a broken rib in the 2013 playoffs.

I just tore a muscle off my rib once and it freaked me out.
Felt like something was severely wrong UNDER my ribs.

I still don't get how it is so morally horrific to be hoping he doesn't play again. The guy has made millions upon millions, will lead a life far more extravagant that 99% of us here, even if he and his family never earn another dime.
His retirement would give opportunity to other struggling players in the AHL or ECHL to get a shot at a better life. All while getting rid of a notoriously dirty player who has injured others. Win/Win/Win situation if you ask me.
You're all right, it is just a game, and there are thousands of more deserving players that would love for a chance to play it for living.

So next season is questionable for burrows then?
