OT, but I just followed Granlund on Twitter and noticed this gem from a few months ago:

From the oilers HF board:
"Stamps win the Grey Cup, Eskimos get knocked off by the Stamps.

Flames make the playoffs, Oilers are the laughing stock of the league.

I need to just leave the Country and start watching NFL."

I am laughing in tears

No coincidence that Granlund's best game comes as he is reunited with Jooris and Ferland. For those who don't remember they were on fire last year in the AHL before Ferland got injured. Granlund had a 13 game point streak and Ferland had 17 pts in a 12 game stretch. Hope that line stays together for the rest of the year as they have serious chemistry.

That was the problem in December: It was only a four game trip.

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
Whoa. Jonas Hiller in his last four #Flames relief appearances (total of 169 minutes, 34 seconds):
- 0.35 GAA
- 0.987 SV% (1 g on 77 shots)

Flames were bad in the first period, among the worst hockey they've played this year. But they were business-like and fine in the second/third. Edmonton is of course very bad, which helped. People can talk about the advanced stats all they want, but the Flames record against bad teams this year is a big reason they have stayed in the mix. So many other teams in the playoff race have been inconsistent against the Edmonton's/Arizona's. Flames have consistently taken care of business.

Lots of credit to Hartley for sticking with the lineup and going with Granlund. Liked the switch of Granlund and Stajan. Stajan has some Yelle in him and I'd like to see him play a bit more because he is experienced and trustworthy. And Granlund was very good all night so good to get him going a little bit.

Jooris probably Calgary's best player throughout. Need stronger performances out of some depth forwards like earlier in the year so getting that from Jooris and Granlund tonight was important.

Don't see much reason why Edmonton is going to get any better any time soon.

Engelland continues to quietly play very solid.

I get a kick out of all the criticism for Colborne. The guy is fine. Not a consistent offensive factor but he is big and gets into a lot of puck battles successfully. I am generally fine with Raymond but thought he struggled.

Hiller was extremely good in the first period and proved to be a difference of sorts.

Very interested to see how things play out this week. Could see Winnipeg faltering with a couple of tough road games. But Calgary is going to have to win 2 of their last 3 to get in. They are in pretty good shape. Will need to be better than tonight but put that one in the bank and move on. Interested to see what happens with Bennett.

Started ugly but finished well. But was only the Oilers... !

Looks like the Kings are going to be in based on their schedule. Have to lay a beat down on the Coyotes and hope the road is not good to Winnipeg. Flames need to have clinched before that final game IMO.

Ohhhhhhh, the Jimmies are rustled in the HF Oilers PGT.

BTW, they think the "WE <3 Kevin Lowe" sign is hilarious and clever.
