Lets go Vancouver tonight.

It is better for Calgary to have the Jets lose because they have fewer games remaining and fewer max points, and would fall back into a tie in terms of max points at 104 despite leading us by two.

Typical. Just typical.

The Wild are going to go on one of the best runs in the history of hockey aren't they.

Rangers just dreadful, but I'm not surprised because they only turn up when they want to.

Imo, it makes sense to hope for a Jets regulation win tonight. I think it will come down to the division for the Flames and not the wild card.
The Blues came back to beat the Penguins 3-2 in overtime, Steen with the winning goal 35 seconds into overtime.

For the Jets-Canucks game the best would be for either team to win in regulation.

The way things have gone tonight, it would be a surprise if it didn't go to OT.

Ok so take out the 4 shootout wins and the 2 shootout loses and the Flames have 76 points. Take out the Kings 2 shootout wins and their 7 loses and the Kings have 73 points.

Take out the points for overtime loses and the Flames have 72 points, take out the Kings and they have 66 points.

The point isn't that one team should be mad or angry, its just an interesting discussion on what effect the shootout and overtime time points have on the play off races

Just for fun, in 3-2-1 system Flames would be 27-13-27-6 (W - OTW - L - OTL) good for 113 points. Kings would be 33-3-23-14 and sit with 119 points or 2 wins ahead of the Flames.

We've had 6 games go to the shootout, of those we've won 4. 6 Shootout games is the second lowest in the NHL and 4 shootout wins 4 wins is the third lowest shootout win total. We're tied for 3rd best extra time record at 13-6

I don't think we should worry about the Wild anymore. they're playing at such a high level right now, I doubt they'll lose another game for the rest of the season. They're getting in for sure. Same with the Jets. Our only hope is to stave off the Kings and try and catch Vancouver, as those seem to be the only two teams that have actually lost the odd game here and there, and are somewhat vulnerable...I hope.

I'm watching Bolts / Panthers now just so I can watch a game that won't disappoint me and Callahan just scored a fantastic goal to give the Bolts the lead with 2:28 left in the third.
