It's just my opinion, but that is why I said it depends on team needs. If you plan on going deep into the playoffs, you can't plan on having Glencross in the top 6. I think you can get by with Jagr on the second line.

He can still carry the puck and pass, both on above average levels.

Sure...but if both players are not putting up points you feel way better about having Glencross on your third line than you do Jagr.

Jagr at this point would be valuable on the PP. That is all.

Yup, definitely couldn't see Jagr out there killing penalties and blocking shots.

I feel old most days and he's got 5 years on me!

Tlusty
Winik
Jagr
Bergenhiem

I'm betting theres still 15 teams looking to get in on Glencross. So who's Glencross' competition now?

Cole- LW 36. Years. Old.

Lupul- RW Speculated about but no big rumours as of yet. Anyways I don't know who would take on that contract with the injury record he has.

Stewart- RW Good, gritty player. Probably similar to Winik's return. Only real winger close to Glencross' play and production.

Vermete- LW???/C Listed as a LW on some sites but plays games as a centre usually. Point production a little bit higher than Glencross but he has only played 1 full 82 game season since joining the Coyotes. Also he's 32 which suprised me, plus a higher cap hit than Glencross at $3,750,000.

(I posted this in the Jagr trade thread but just wanted to put it here an ask the question)

Has me thinking Treliving is asking a very high price for him and nobody is prepared to pay that much and no deal will be made.

I hope my fears are foundless.

It has me thinking he's working the phones to see if he can get any of the other GMs to raise their bids. Could be there is a bit of an auction going on behind the scenes.

The teams involved in trying to acquire Glencross are the right teams to be ponying up.

BOS, CHI, WSH and NYR (not sure why the Rangers need him) all have valid reasons to get a solid rental like Glencross.

I think the Rangers want to try him out as a replacement for Zuccarello

I see it as Treveling has set the price high and is waiting to see which team bites. he's floated the fly on the pond and seeing all the trout come have a look, wanting to grab it, but just not there yet.

patience....

Brad Treliving strikes me as a thoughtful and intelligent guy. I don't think he'll make the Glencross move until he's heard all the options that are on the table. That's something I wish his predecessors had done on a few more occasions (see: Sutter re: Dion Phaneuf).

Lets put it this way. If you were Mormon and went on their 2 year recruiting mission, by the end of your two years even your recruiting buddy would have converted to Catholicism.
