Regardless of where he goes, I just want to thank Glencross for all that he has done for the Calgary Flames organization.

Meh, all the best to Glencross. This team is at a cross roads with many younger players kicking on the door pretty hard. He obviously knows things aren't in the cards here with the Flames.
I'd prefer to have the trade done ASAP so both parties involved can get their new acquisitions to gel.

Playing with Crosby has benefits. He went from a .61 PPG player to a .8 PPG player.
|
Oh I'm not saying that playing with Crosby didn't help. But it's not like Kunitz was a pylon before he went to Pittsburgh.

Meh, may be the Flames aren't going to play him so he doesnt get injured. Isn't extra pressure at all to get a deal done.

Got no problem with the request. The team requested the list, the player requests the trade, what's the difference really?
It's obvious he's not happy with his position on the team, but it's a product of his play and that of his counterpart teammates. Neither side is happy so move him.

This is a suitable time for the Flames fans to continue to differntiate themselves from the Toronto/Vancouver/Edmonton fans and laud someone apparently on their way out, regardless of the reason it seems to be happening.

Is Molberg that reliable? Played his last game seems a bit definitive.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

If someone asks for a trade, I think it'd be smart to keep them out of the line up immediately.

Does that necessarily mean it's true though?

I love having Rob Kerr away from PBP and back in the studio.
Kerr is a great interviewer.

I can't fault him for asking to be traded. He's been a solid player through a lot of lean years. We are having a good run this year, and he's basically been told he's not going to be a part of it, unless they can't get something decent for him.
Can't really fault either side, just time to move on.
A little different that the normal rental targets that are playing on a team going nowhere and don't mind playing out the string while they wait.
