Okay, I understand what you're saying and I'll amend my position to that of: 'Somewhat Agree.'
Yes, his teammates have acted childishly. But thats also somewhat the norm for team sports professionally or otherwise. everyone has been razzed by their team for mistakes, the only difference is that this has clearly gotten completely out of hand.
I guess my opinion is that Kane has acted like a child and as such hes being treated like a child.

I am kind of interested to hear what the dress code is for morning skate.
I get suits at game time, but from most morning skates I have seen it is just casual clothes that the players wear when showing up.

I don't know if I'd call it despicable, but it's definitely childish. It's the sort of thing you'd expect to hear happening at a junior high school, and the kids who did it would get punished for bullying.

Yea it sure sounds like he's an innocent flower in all of this. That's the number one thing to take away and it certainly seems reasonable to want to add that to your team.
As I said, par for the course with Vancouver fans. It's a great match.

I would love it if the Canucks somehow acquired him, especially if it was for cheap so that the Jets receive little in return thereby hurting both teams.
Kane is the type of player that will ruin the positive vibe and destroy a team from within. He is, in the sports sense, a true team cancer. When he pulls that crap in Vancouver, especially hanging out with old buddies more often, who on the Canucks is going to try to confront him about it? Henrik Sedin...? Lol.

SuperMatt, I usually agree with you, but this is not bullying. This is a team showing a player that doesn't feel the rules apply to him, that in fact they DO apply to him, and there are consequences for not being on board with basic team policies. Speculation on my part, but something tells me this is not the first time Kane has been a problem, and if there was any other player saying that bullying or an unfair environment was occurring within the Jets organization, then I'd give Kane's perspective more credence.

Only one solution here:
Big Buff traded for Mike Ribeiro.
Kane gets the appropriate mentorship in how to spend 15 years in the NHL while hated by teammates and clearly send the message that it's Kane's team.

I would hope that anyone thats being bullied by his current teammates is welcomed with open arms by a new team
regardless of what you think Kane did, this looks poorer on the Jets lack of leadership
as others have said if Kane really is an 'outsider' within the team, ostracizing him more is just bullying and wouldnt happen in a lockerroom with veteran leadership

Bieksa will agitate, then run away as fast as he can and hide. Like he always does.
too bad that the Canucks traded Kesler, otherwise they could trade for Kane and form a d-bag Kane-Kesler-Burrows line.

Now Kane is being Bullied? Holy cow ramp up the hyperbole even more!
So let me get this straight, Player X alienates himself from his team mates, constantly break the rules of professional conduct, has constant run ins with other team mates because of his conduct, they get sick of it, turn his track suit into a wet towel by throwing it into a shower...A SHOWER! do not harm him mentally or physically but get his clothes wet and he's being bullied!
Cry me a river. You act like a chump you're going to get treated like a chump. It's always been this way and it always will. And that's in all walks of life.
I cannot believe you're playing the victim card on Kane here.

Keep this guy far, far away from our team please. Given Hartley's consistent emphasis on character and solid people playing for the Flames, I couldn't see Kane coming here.

It's not like they are picking on him because they think he is a dork, or because he book smart or something like that. Kane's snooty attitude is a slap in the face to his teammates and they are striking back. Maybe it isn't the most mature way to deal with it, but it is not bullying. If he can show respect to them, I am sure they would do the same.

Poor Kane. Maybe if he thought of his teammates once in awhile instead of himself his feelings wouldn't be so hurt.

Who decides what bullying is? I'm guessing if a kid threw another classmates clothes in the shower when they were changing for gym class it would be called bullying.
Kane obviously felt bullied if he decided to stay home for the game.
He was in his home town, and was likely looking forward to playing that game.
This would not fly in any other job, but it's a sport and they are teammates so it's just Byfuglien being a good leader.

You never know from the outside what's more the issue; is it Kane's ego, or has the way the team handles minor disciplinary issues turned molehill into a mountain.
However, letting it get to a level where a player doesn't want to play doesn't speak well of either side.

Lol at people saying Kane is being "bullied". No, it sounds pretty clearly like he's a selfish locker room cancer. His entire career he's had the selfish label, eventually teammates get sick of it. That time has now come. Anything the Jets get in a trade will help, this is classic addition by subtraction.
