You've got to be on every game. They were legitimately starting to force the Flames hand to trade someone, maybe not now.

Sometimes "lack of urgency" is a terrible term. You don't think they see the score and time left? The effort is there, the skill to do something about it isn't.
Hockey may be a mental game, but sometimes the other team is just better

2-0. Worst lead in hockey. Last time I posed this, the Flames came back. Let's hope it works again.

They have our number don't they.
Agree with some others that we look like a team tonight hurting with injuries.

Agreed. They need to really start skating to get back in this. Also need more tenacity in puck battles/races for the puck. They seemed to be losing a lot of those in the 2nd. Anaheim is playing a great road game tonight.
They're still in this game in spite of all the injuries though. Hoping for a big push back in the 3rd!

Russell and Jones playing tonight would have this game looking a bit different, let alone the rest of our injuries. I ain't even mad, and there's a lot of hockey to be played.

Meh, some games you just don't have 'it'. Still one period to go, the Flames need to find some serious mojo soon to make something happen.

Very similar to the loss against St. Louis earlier this season.

Nothing I've seen has led me to believe this, but somehow I feel the Flames come out flying in the 3rd and at the very least force OT...

Did an Oilers fan really show up just to beak off about our shots for?
Getting desperate.

Setogouchi, Mcgrattan, Diaz in and Backlund, Raymond, Colborne, Russell out is probably why we lose this one. Backlund and Russell have the work ethic and speed to just put us over the edge in terms of scoring chances and Raymond and Colborne create points. I'm not that impressed with Anaheim, yeah they're big but they seem to be a tier below St. Louis and Tampa Bay. The whole team just seems off tonight, bad passes, blind passes, no real scoring chances, bad mistakes, ill timed penalties. Oh well live and learn.

This game is not fun to watch but calgary is still holding their own and monahan looks awesome in the faceoff circle. Iwould like to see more emotion out of our 4th line at this point mcgratten and bollig look beyond useless no fighting and no hitting ugh

We are only down 2-0 and one good goal will turn the momentum to the Flames.
Damn, i am just glad I don't cheer for the Leafs; otherwise I would be so ticked off that I might punch the first person that annoys me

They don't play tonight, so there's about a 75% chance they won't lose tonight.

Ducks broadcast just pointed this out. Of the Flames 7 shots, 2 come from McGrattan, 2 come from Bollig. Ducls shutting down who they need to shut down pretty effectively so far.

You have been visited by the immortal spirit of Scorch:
If you praise based Scorch great fortune will find your team. If you ignore based Scorch great misfortune will befall your squad.
Praise be to the Scorched one.
