Sounds like Cory Sarich was involved in an accident?
No idea what he's referring to, but good guy so hope he's ok

As of now, the only detail I have is that he was involved in a cycling accident and is in a hospital. I do not know anything more than that.
Meantime, let’s all wish a very classy man the very best in whatever recovery he has to come.

Sarich's agent, Tim Hodgson, said in a press release that Sarich was hit by a car while training on his bike in Invermere, B.C. He was airlifted to a hospital in Calgary and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Scary stuff. Glad that he's okay and it ended up nothing life or career threatening.

Still proud to have my No 6 jersey. One of Cory's biggest fans. Hope he makes it back to the NHL - 31 games to his 1,000. Get well, Mr Sarich!

Hockey aside, hope he makes a full recovery so he can grow old and one day enjoy retirement like everyone should.

The air lift part likely sounds scarier than it is - likely just a transport flight from Invermere to Calgary. But "multiple broken vertebrae"? Hoping for a fast and full recovery!
