Wow, I hate showering to find nothing to dry off on. Maybe set up a rack under your desk for drying items?

Here is my current commuter that I bought on Kijiji.
It was cheap and actually decreased my time commuting by about 7-10 mins from my specialized hard tail. I live in Lynnwood and ride downtown, it is about 12km.
The roads are terrible right now and the pathways are worse, is there anyway we can complain to the city, maybe 311. Would it be better if more people complained or do we just have to live with this?

I've found the best strategy is just to ride in traffic in downtown. The roadsides are still too littered with gravel for biking with road tires and many pathways are still wrecked from the flood or shut down for repair forcing detours.

Is the Bow Valley Parkway okay for biking? I found the Legacy Tr. a bit short, but in all of my drives along BV, never saw bikes.

Humbling to say the least... Though a mid 20 something guy challenged me to race this AM at the lights crossing Anderson. I trailed him for a bit to get a feel for it and then blew his doors off and didn't see him again. Does that make up for it?

Which part are you asking about? There are intermittent closures here and there for repairs or parts that are still completely washed out but you can fjord by foot (carry your bike over wooden planks).

I am confused. There were closures? I road the Legacy Trail a couple of weeks ago from Canmore to Banff, and I drove to the Bow Valley Parkway in March, and the road looked okay from a vehicle perspective. I just want to know if there are any dangers in biking, since I have never seen cyclists along it before. is visibility to cars a problem?

Sorry I read your post wrong. I read it as Bow Valley pathway and not Parkway.

It is fine now. About 2 weeks ago there was still some snow along the road.

There were a few posts earlier about Strava. The thing I like most about it is seeing where other people are riding. There are several pro cyclists (mtb and road) that train in Victoria over the winter, so it's been cool seeing all the different trails/routes they ride.
I don't think it's been posted yet, but Strava has posted a global heat map based on every user's rides. There are lots of tracks around Calgary, so hopefully it'll give you folks some new places to check out.

^ that is kind of cool - also neat to see concentrations near cities deemed as bike friendly - i.e. Portland........
