My biggest worry is he would be good for 10 more points in the standings, and that is NOT really what the Flames need next year

Monahan with 5:31 TOI... I thought Tippett was going to increase his ice time?

If he does really well then he'll just replace Cammys offense. How Ramo plays will have the biggest impact on where we are in the standings imo.

I'm not sure why people think Johnny is going to start in the AHL. This kid will be in the running for the Calder the way it's looking right now. Management will see that and barring any set-backs will keep him in the NHL.

He's got a full summer to bulk up while attending school and it's safe to say Gaudreau is a dedicated hockey player who will do exactly that.

I hope the Burrows injury means more playing time for Mony. I've been too distracted by the USA games simply because Gaudreau is getting ice-time and Monahan isn't but from what I've been hearing, Monahan has been playing alright

I just wonder if they start him in the AHL because they seem to be committed to this philosophically. Burke even kept Getzlaf and Perry on the farm but they were so dominant Burke had no choice but to call them up.

I understand that the primary function of the farm is to serve the NHL club. Is it crazy to suggest that given the brand new relationship with Glens Falls and the likelihood that the Flames are still not quite ready to contend for a playoff spot that management might give Adirondack a couple months of Johnny to fire up their fanbase?

Citizens of Kazakhstan are Kazakhs – a dominant ethnicity of Buddhist/Mongol origin living in Kazakhstan.

Kazaks
(or Kossacks, as they are often spelled in English) – is an artificial ethnicity formed by serf-runaways of predominantly Russian and Ukrainian orthodox Christians escaping feudal estates in 1700-1800's. They formed settlements near Russia's border outposts and were eventually forgiven by tsar's decree for offering military protection services to the crown in exchange for special freedoms and privileges. Kazaks were also used by tsars as special cavalry guard and played a brutal role in bloody pogroms during Russian Revolution and Civil War years in early 1900's.

Only one letter, but a lot of difference between the two.

Definitely good points and neither situation will negatively affect his development. I just think he's too good for the AHL just like he was too good for the NCAA. Take that, with the fact they tried to sign him last year (where he opted to play another year with his bro) and I think we'll see him in Calgary from the start.

I'd consider this NHL tryout 2 out of 5 for him before the start of next season. Tryout 1 being his first game (first goal). He's currently over a PPG and drawing penalties, setting up plays and back-checking just fine. He'll probably light it up at development camp, summer camp, exhibition and hopefully to start the season!

What's the worst that can happen? Stink out the joint and add McDavid via the draft? They will probably be in the running as the team doesn't have nearly the forward talent to play his style of loose hockey.

What is the story with Joakim Lindstrom? He's done alright in the NHL and very good in Sweden. Seems odd that no one moves on him in the NHL. Is he ultra soft or something?

From what I gather he's a bit soft, can be a bit lazy, and not stellar defensively. A good scorer, but not enough to be top 6 and no place for his play in the bottom 6.

That's what I understand at least, maybe another poster will have some more insight
