The Flames were never dominated the way the Canadiens were dominated last night.
The Habs did not deserve to win. 90% of the team was garbage.
The only Canadien players to show up was Price and Subban.
Well that's the thing, the Habs won the game without really showing up, they looked very rusty and only a few players really were at or near their best. Vanek was invisible, they only had 2 out of 4 lines playing well. Bourke and Gallagher also had good performances.

I don't understand how anyone could think a group of NHL players would sacrifice their Cup hopes to get a coach fired.
That team was so awful it was hard not to think they had quit on the coach. Those first two games in Detroit I do not think I have ever seen a team dominated in such a way. The sixth game at the Dome I think the players as well as some of the fans were just hoping the Mule would score sooner as nobody on the Flames was doing anything except Kipper. The Flames probably had 30 scoring chances (max) total in that series and maybe 6 total even strength. That was a tour de force of a series, NHL V. AHL with the AHL team having a great goalie and good special teams to even given them a chance.
So Bruin fans aren't particularly bright, but going after Subban with the racial blasts when his brother is in your own teams system? Good thing Iginla had a great year or they'd probably be piling on him too. http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2014/05/...s-game-winner/
Have you ever been to Boston? They're not winning any awards for racial or cultural tolerance any time soon.
They think you're black if you have so much as a tan.

Try the 2007 first round if you want to see a Flames team get dominated ten times as bad as the Habs last night. That was the year that Iginla and the rest of the leadership core quit on the team to try to get the coach fired, only guy who showed up for the series was Kipper. That series epitomized why the Flames were always hot garbage once Darryl was not the coach and never had a hope in hell of winning a playoff series unless Kipper started scoring goals.
2007 was the year that the Flames got thumped on the last game of the regular season at home by the powerful Edmonton Oilers (in their continuing effort to get the coach fired) and had to wait til the next day to see Colorado lose to squeak into the playoffs. They were successful in finishing off the coach in the playoffs, they were so awful that even Darryl Sutter could not deny that his vaunted leadership crew had quit on the coach.
I don't even know why I'm bothering replying since I just spent 5 minutes reading your posts and you're clearly a troll.
So you're saying the captain who has won pretty much every award in hockey except the cup and playing on the best team of his career gave up the chance at the cup just to get the coach fired? Yeah that doesn't sound delusional at all

Sucks that this even has to happen but Bruins rightfully denounce their racist fans

Boston fans are animals. What a classless fan base. Hoping for a habs win. Montreal isn't Vancouver... I don't mind them winning one bit.

Why is this big news? Everyone knows the world has racist people in it. Just because twitter makes it easy to send hate world wide doesn't make it newsworthy.

It was trending in boston. #N*** was trending. That's a lot of people, not just a handful.
EDIT: See puckluck's post below, apparently this was false.

The talking point this morning was that "######" was trending on Twitter in Boston last night, though it turns out that's not true. Here's an image of the tweet that started the rumor—it appears to just be a screenshot of search results. The Twitter user who inadvertently started it later apologized and tried to clear things up this morning, but by then it was too late to shake the storyline that the racism had been so pervasive that it registered in the Twitter algorithm.

I read it on several "reputable" publications, if it's been retracted then I'll retract that comment.
