Ugly hit, looks worse in slow motion then in real time

Absolutely no reason for it in game 82. Agree with boarding major and a game, no further suspension. Hopefully it doesnt escalate.

Boarding...I can accept that. 5 is coming from the result, but that's usually the way it works.

I know I'm a little late to the party but WELCOME TO THE NHL JOHNNY! First game and first goal of many.

Seriously, how the hell is he injured? Looked like a nothing hit to me. I hope Sedin is ok, but there's no way Byron should be suspended for that.

How many minutes for the sucker punch to the back if Byron's head?

At least Bryon proved size isn't the only thing. Who turns like that? Did he not expect to get hit. This is the NHL

it wasn't ruthless but pushing a guy directly in the numbers 3 feet from the boards is one of the absolute most idiotic and dangerous things you can do

absolute garbage

Unfortunate injury but that's hardly a game misconduct worthy hit.

And his head on the glass. I think it was less about his neck and more about a concussion from hitting his head.

He smashed his head on the seam of the glass. Concussion... he'll be fine.

Yeah, no matter how much I hate a player on the ice, don't want to see serious injury occur. Hope this is all precautionary and he's alright.

Careless by Byron, but I'm pretty surprised that Sedin was hurt there. He must have gone into the boards awkwardly or something. Hopefully this is just precautionary and he's alright.

I hope he is okay, neck injuries are nothing to play around with but it just didn't seem like is neck jarred or his head snapped back at all. may be like those non contact injuries in football.

I hope he is okay, I really do.
