Makes shooting from the hip much easier. I don't linger anywhere long enough that someone is going to spot the laser easily.

I dropped the laser sight. I usually have it off anyways. I dropped it for the canted iron sights, and have a 3.4x or 4x zoom scope. I find the canted sights are actually faster then any red dot sight, and there seems to be a more margin with the auto aim... locks in quicker. Playing with it for a bit.
I use a vertical grip or ergo grip for the boost in hip fire, now that I don't use a laser sight, as well as stability while shooting and moving.
Switch between the flash hider and silencer depending on the map. Big open maps with not a lot of cover I use the flash hider. Medium to small maps with a lot of cover and hidden areas I use the silencer.
Usually use either a holo sight, or an acog sight.... again, map dependent.
Favorite guns are the M416, the M4, MTAR, AEK-971, the MG4, and the ACE21

Use the vertical or ergo grip. You get the same bonus, without the penalty of shooting on the run.

I've accidentally on purpose dropped cruise missiles on useless teammates that recon in a group and complete no objectives.

I play recon a lot but I also have a ton of spotting points.

I don't mind recon, but when your team isnt holding any objectives and you're hiding on the edge of the map it's stupid.

This drives me crazy. I've been on way to many teams where it seems like I'm the only one attempting to cap flags. All the while 60% of the team is off in the hills trying to pick people off.

Recon can be played as a pretty damn good bunker buster/cap holding class with something like an M417+C4 combo, but that's not as fun as hiding and shooting guys.
Sniper is literally the most boring thing to play.

Recon can be a great class but it's infuriating to see a bunch of people sitting back and sniping. 2 or 3 snipers is all a team really needs. However, a recon armed with a carbine, spawn beacons and C4 can be an effective support class for a squad. Especially in hardcore where you can only spawn on your squad leader. I haven't played too much recon in BF4 but in BF3 I mostly ran with bolt action riffles equipped with an RDS/PKS-Holo.

Yeah I got mine the other day.
Oddly enough at the same time I got the battle pack I lost all the boosts I had saved up (about 30 of them).
Tried some of the overpowered DMRs last night. 3 shot kills from a DMR is a bit over powered IMO.

I tend to join the servers with class caps and auto suicide rpg kills. It's amazing how much better a game is when RPGs are used as anti vehicle only and a game of rush only has 4 snipers a side.
(When I play PC of course. BF3 had an amazing list of capped servers)
