Within 90 days, UA will cut 61 jobs in YYC and outsource them.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/unit...nada-1.2545058

In more positive news, NINE YEARS after placing their initial order, Air Canada's first 787 is in the paint hangar so we should see her very soon. The second and third are currently on the assembly line. Also this week, Air Canada's final new 777 flew from Victorville, California where it was getting its interior outfitted, to AC's base in Montreal and should enter service within a few days. Final count on the impressive B777 fleet is 6x 777-200LR (AC has 6 of only 56 Boeing has built), 5x 77W (36J/24P/398Y aka sardine can) and 12x 77W (42J/307Y)

Is AC replacing the 777s with something else?

I also had no idea that the E175s were retired last year, and the 190s are being retired...

Not sure if their fleet plan entails phasing out the 200's with the 87's.. but I'm guessing they'll want to get rid of the 200LR's as they aren't exactly money making machines.

As far as I know, the 75s we're moved to Sky Regional Ailrines who fly them for Air Canada.

I think the same plan is for the 90s to do the same.

The LRs are going to be in the fleet for a while yet, same for the ERs. No real replacement till the 777X is out. They do haul a good amount if cargo in the 777s.

May get a jumpseat ride in one of the Suncor RJ's in the near future. Buddy I used to fly with is a captain with them.

E90 plan is to sell them, most to Boeing as part of the MAX deal.
