For the really good posts it's not a bad thing to do both.

Some posts deserve more than clicking the thanks button. That was one of them.
And so was this one, btw

That was such an incredible amount of great information contained in that BB post, it deserved more than just thanks.

I will second this. My 6 year old is a disaster if she wakes up early in the morning, and of course she hasn't had a nap to speak of since she started grade 1, so it has been really bad the past 4 months. Both my younger kids actually nap when the ride the school bus with Mrs Rathji, so they don't have that issue nearly as bad.

WGMG is people that send meeting invites with less than 15 minutes notice. I need time to prepare for meetings and it usually takes more that 15 minutes.

My stupid bank over the last 8-9 months. At some point they decided it was easier to simply ignore a simple request then to actually do the work required.
Me: "Hey can I make an additional deposit to my TSFA?"
Bank: "Yes of course Mr. Dorn, that won't be a problem"
3-4 weeks later
Me: "Hey, you never made that deposit to my TSFA I asked for, I even have a reference number from that request here..."
Bank: "We have no record of that request"
Me: "What? You sent me a confirmation email and a reference number!"
Bank: "Sorry, we have no record of that request"
Me: "Yeah but you must, I didn't craft this confirmation email myself"
Bank: "Is there anything I can help you with today?"
Me: "Apparently not."
Anyone on CP really happy with their bank? Considering making a switch here.

Not sure who you're with now, but I've always had great service from CIBC. No complaints.

Sadly enough it's CIBC I'm with, up until this past year I never had any complaints either. Maybe it's just a string of bad luck but they've really, really been dropping the ball on my last few request.

I get raped with service fees and harrassing phone calls, but the royal bank has worked out well for me...hmmm, maybe I should raise my expectations.

I've recently made a bunch of changes to my investments/banking services, and Royal Bank has done quite well through it all. I've been with them my whole life though, so there's probably some bias in that.
EDIT: Haven't had any harassing phone calls from them either...the Calgary Herald does a good enough job for everyone else not to even bother.

Can't you just do that yourself with online banking?

Oh you'd think so, the original request was made through online banking. Hence the frustration when I'm told "there's no record of that request".
No incomplete data, no incorrect account numbers or anything, just no record of it.

I am sick and tired of people using Text Messaging to deliver news or messages they are too scared to deliver in person. Breakups, or any bad news should be done in person, and not over a damned Text Message

With CIBC (President's Choice) for daily banking. RBC for all investments - RRSP, RESP, TFSA, etc.

weird, I don't think in all of my years of using online banking, something like that has ever happened. Anyways, I'm at RBC and I can just tranfer money to TFSA from any other account as easily and realiably as from to any other accounts.

I believe that if you want to change an auto-debit to the TFSA that you have to go into the branch, but I can't think of anything else that you wouldn't be able to do online.
