Russian TV are running the story of Vavriniuk's phone call with her friend where she admits to her friend that she completely fabricated the whole story (in russian). They are running the actual talk record, she admits it herself (provided it is really her voice), although there's no explanation how did TV got the record. Maybe will come out in english media soon.

Back in court today. Judge continued bond, formally advised him of assault charge and restraining order.
Article notes that most of these cases never go to trial and settled with a plea bargain. He would also be able to petition the court to go to Sochi for the Olympics if the case isn't settled by Feb 7. Next court date is Jan 22 where he can enter a plea.
