his own defenseman screened him and the puck took a deflection.

It baffles me everytime I see a defensman try to play goalie like that. He just lost the series for his team, as most NHL'ers won't score from there, at that angle without a deflection.

It went in off the skate of the defenceman causing the puck to change direction. Howard had no chance on the goal.

Wow, the TSN post-game panel has a difference of opinion on that.

Ugh, sorry, didn't refresh the page when I posted.
Basically Mike Johnson said that the Walkom call was totally blown, whereas Dreger was defending it because Saad apparently swung at Quincey, thus making it the right call for coincidentals. Johnson said that due to Walkom having a view of the play up the ice, he needed to not blow it down. Both guys were getting forceful with their speaking and Johnson was almost getting steamed.

I always assumed that the refs kept the whistles in their pockets during the final few minutes and let the players decide the outcome. Good thing the Hawks won or this issue would have become a hot topic.

No chance whatsoever (as Hrudey just said).

A bad deflection in overtime in game seven is exactly what happened to Cory Crawford three years ago against the Canucks.

Incredible game. I don't think there is anything better in the world then game 7 OT between two original 6 teams.
