I hope all the remaining flames games are like these. Lots of goals, and flames losses.

Oh c'mon! Kipper's still better than most of the goalies out there. This team in front of him sucks PERIOD! Everyone was complaining about Iggy and says he's old and washed up. It's like WTF? Both are still better than 80% of their peers and especially the ones on this team. And yes, Tanguay does suck! Got that one right.
Thank Kipper and the poor defensive plays for the loss cuz they needed to start tanking. Most of you want a full rebuild. So, don't bitch about it.

They were bound to lose at home eventually guys. I didn't watch the game but apparently Kipper was the goat. For every time Kipper has worn the goat horns I can think of 5 times he's either won damn near single handily or kept us in games we had no business being in.
As far as saying he's done in the league? Hope that was meant as green text because if not give your head a shake, he's probably the best goaltender this franchise has ever seen.
Is he long for the Flames? Probably not, but he'll end up on a playoff bound team and help them on a run.

Need Philly to go on a run here - that's a team behind the Flames that should be able to leap-frog them.
Finish 3rd last - win the lotto - boom. 1st.

After watching his play this season, do you really believe what you just said?
It's not about what someone has done in the past, it's about the present and Kioper stinks this season.

His opinion is not wrong its just different than yours.
I also doubt he was talking about wanting "trapfest" games.
I kind of agree with Puck Luck2. Didn't mind watching it for a couple of periods but if every game is going to be like this going forward i might be taking some games off. They have to play some defence, other wise its pond hockey.

I won't be surprised to see some sort of injury or malady pop up over the next day or so, and he shuts it down for the season. Queue the July presser.

You could be right. He was definately not a happy camper out there tonight. Had the death stare going pretty well after one of the goals and I bet he was thinking "I could be fishing" more than once tonight.

I think kipper has lost the ability to make the crazy stops to keep the team in the game. Not sure how many I would consider softies, but didn't get any big stops to turn the tide. That is how I would grade a decent backup goali's night.
I am fine with the result and the tanking/rebuild, so not complaining whatsoever.

I didnt think we played that bad defensively aside from the 3 brodie bonehead plays and the stajan one. Outside of the brutal errors and kipper/mcdonald only bailing us out once on the turnovers the team played a strong game. I view this differently than other losses that were just uninspired or we were out played.
Since we are now rebuilding its time to be positive and enjoy hockey. So we should look at that we bounced back well after each goal and that Backlund is looking real good in the last two games.
The key to survive the next three years is to enjoy hockey.

Yep. As bad as the Flames are, I just don't see them out-sucking Colorado or Florida this year.

Not sure the bolded part is true. DId you watch the Chicago game? The score would have been 10-0 if it was not for Kipper.

Tanguay looked like he was sleep walking out there. If he doesn't pull it together I'd like him gone but who would take him at $3.5M per for three more years. I like the player but show some enthusiasm, maybe a buyout is in his future.

I find myself looking at the standings - not up, but downward. Also browsing the draft rankings, which I've never done.
The most exciting day the next few years will be draft day. Does this make me an Oilers fan?

Rumors have LA being interested in him. I don't think he will ever be a buyout candidate though - especially now through the rebuild. This is Tanguay - great through some games in the season, kind of disappears through others. I still don't think he is on a bad contract. 3.5 I think is a decent contract for what he brings every season. If he was consistent, he would get 5 per. I do expect the Flames to move him this season, or in the off-season, however.

5 days until hopefully a fire sale. Keep Hudler, Backlund, Brodie, Cervenka, Glencross, Wideman and maybe Gio. Everyone else can go, doubtful they all will, but hopefully some can net us additional picks/prospects. Then let Baerstchi, Nemisz, Reinhart, Horak and Breen get some minutes with the big club.

Worst coaching in the league by a mile. I don't understand why they keep him there.
