Are you kidding? He bit toward the puck carrier when Wideman already had the shot covered leaving both guys on his side of the ice open. It was awful and he knew it. No composure.

watch it again. As the puck came over to his side of the net, he lifted the stick of the forward and kept him off the puck. The puck slid through to the other forward who was all alone. Meanwhile, the two Flames forwards that were backchecking had already looped around and were skating away, leaving the whole mess to Gio

COME ON!! Really? We're on our 4th coach since Darryl and its still the coaches fault? Nope, don't buy it. This team needs a complete change of culture. I wouldn't lose sleep if Feaster was canned, but I think he's been decent and scouting/developing has improved immensly. Hartley is a proven winner, and I'd like to see him stay. So who does that leave? I don't think we can or should trade everyone because we still need vets to help the younger guys, but keep guys who play hard night in and night out and will help with the culture change. Keep Hudler, Cammalleri, Wideman, Stajan (can't believe I said that but at a 2 million cap-hit, he'd be great), Gio (if he can get back to 2010/2011 version), Glencross, Backlund and Brodie. Hopefully deadline day will give us something to look forward to.

When is the last time the Flames won 5 or 6 in a row? This team can only muster a couple wins in a row before getting beat down like they did in the first.
Frustrating to watch, more and more I find myself looking forward to draft day, then i find myself terribly concerned that we will squander a high pick and ill be forced to jump out a window...

How is it the coach's fault when the whole team is standing still for the entire first period? And the forwards refuse to help out in the defensive zone?

Yep, and the mayhem started cause Wideman didn't get his shot by Whitney who then gobbled up the puck for the odd-man break.
After that both Glencross first & then Stajan afterwards coming from the opposite side of the rink had a chance to put the body on Eriksson, but Glencross skated away for some reason and then Stajan went for a pokecheck but missed the puck and didn't get the man either and the rest is history.

Not sure, but I think it's been over a year since the team won 3 in a row.

Rmillions with a good point on twitter just now, talking about GM meetings on Wednesday, does Jay have to make moves now on wednesday, especially with this loss tonight? With no games between now and then, it's pretty tough for him to wait on deals anymore. We could have potentially seen the last of Iginla in a Flames jersey this season tonight.

Millions makes some decent speculation, but I doubt they make the moves. Seems to be the MO of the organization right now, besides the roster as it is assembled right now is giving us a fair shot at a top five pick, why rock the boat?

Roger Millions @RogMillions
If GM Meetings are Wed in Toronto, is that the day #Flames GM Jay Feaster really moves on potential deals. Or does he continue to wait.

Never easy for a GM and Jay who is a good person. Can't really imagine what his challenges are. #Flames . Tonight hurt. So many teams ahead.

Doubt it. Feaster and Iggy still have to sit down and talk about his future. Don't see that happening until they come back from this road trip.

This group won't do anything at the trade deadline. Feaster is a farce, I can't wait until he's gone. I just hope the decision has already been made as a result of the O'Reilly fiasco and they're just keeping it hushed to avoid looking reactionary.

Is it actually possible to "overreact" after 3 straight years of missed playoffs and being 14th in the West at this point in the season? I guess it's possible to make the Flames results mean way to much to your life than they should, but as long as the comments are in context to the on-ice state and performance of this club, there is absolutely nothing that could be said about this club that could be construed as an overreaction at this point.
