Still flashes of good in spots but the lapses are brutal.

If Smith is healthy he needs to be in there instead of Butler. Not hating on the guy, he's just the odd man out on the depth chart.

Iggy and Kipper are off to a slow start. Both will come along eventually but I hope it's sooner rather than later.
News flash we are not great either.

Kipper's been poor for his standards, but what's been worse is the fails along the boards in our own end in the little battles. Our D-men are playing them way too casually. Got to move the puck north the second they get it on their sticks, and not pass it to their d-men pinching at the blue line.

But I think it's safe to say the faster the Flames move their feet, the more they put the Avs on their heels. So if they skate and work hard in the third I think we win this, if they start standing around like they did earlier in the 2nd, and play it sloppy out of their own end, it's not going to be a happy ending.

It's awesome that you're here just to post things like this about our players and overall team.

Congrats on a pass time well spent.

atleast if we lose, the game is way way more entertaining than it ever was with Sutter. My girlfriend had a meltdown and we left in the middle of a game last year, and I didn't even care because the game was so damn boring I was falling asleep. This year is completely different, we can pass now, which makes it much more bearable if we lose.

Sarich made the right play there in my opinion. Butler made a poke check and forced the forward but then stood there watching the forward skate around. He should have drifted back into the slot , and in particular made an adjustment once his D partner attacked.

Looking at the replay a third time, I still stand by my assertion.
