They scored two goals which were of the weak variety as far as Luongo's positioning goes. Lets please not hand these guys the Stanley Cup yet as didn't they go 8-2 before they collapsed last year?

I believe Krueger has been working with the Oilers to improve the lazerness of their fluke goal attempts...

Any one else not impressed with Yakupov? I know he's young, but it seems like his feet are 100 times ahead of his hands all the time. Even in the World Juniors i've noticed this. He skates and skates and then loses it or looks awkward when he shoots.
Maybe its just me.

He looked okay last night, I am sure nerves were playing a part in trying to do too much.

I was so hoping Hall and Yakupov were going to crash into each other.
"Oilers win in OT but lose Yakupov to Hall" would have been a better headline.

When's the last time the Oilers didn't win their opening game? Seems like they start out 1-0 every year. That first win is an important fixture in an Oilers season, as it gets all their fans' hopes up (and "legitimizes" all their crazy pre-season expectations) before the inevitable collapse.

Weren't you the one who said something about "Wideman not looking good in training camp, any truth to this?"
Do you just have random thoughts, say they're rumours, then ask about them for fun?

Wait with all of that offensive firepower that we heard about shouldn't the Oilers be tagging up 6 goals a game?

no way either of those goals should have gone in...a backhand from the bottom of the circle and a wrist shot from the bottom of the circle that went though Lou

Lol, Oilers were lucky they even scored 2 yesterday. Considering 11 of their guys played regularly this season, and the whole Nucks team were pretty much preseason shape (plus they played a night before), the fact that the much hyped Oilers offence only scored 2 (should have been) easily stopped goals isn't really helping your argument there.

Actually Lou played very good last night and the score could of been alot more in favor of the oil if not for Lou.

This is true. However it is also true that the Oil should not have got the two goals they got as both were mis-played, the first by both Edler (who is still adjusting to playing the opposite side apparently because Eberle just strolled right around him) and Luongo, and the second mostly just by Luongo.

You could say the same thing about the 2 vancouver goals as well. The first one was a god awful goal that should be stopped every time and the other was Whitney leaving the slot wide open.....

You can say that about every goal scored by any team. Someone screwed up somewhere.

Well the second was a ridiculous pass... but I guess what I'm saying is that historically, that was pretty par-for-the-course goaltending from Dubnyk. I think Luongo's just rusty.

I'll say it again Corral, if you hate the Flames direction, why even post here?
Obvious troll is obvious.
