There are quite a few lawyers here and believe it or not most get upset when people mischaracterize our profession as being full of thieves and people willing to play outside the rules to win at all costs. Most lawyers I know (and I know a lot) are exceptionally decent people who take their professional responsibilities to their client, the courts, and the public at large very seriously.

I guess to summarize, you can add lawyers to the list of things that Rerun doesn't know what he's talking about.

I realize you used green text, but figured I will answer anyway.

I think the potential (doubtful) conflict of interest will disappear.

The Contempt of Parliament however won't be ruled on by the Speaker until next week. He is is an incredible difficult position. This will be a true test of his non-partisanship.

As opposed to Tinordi, who knows everything about everything, and will tell you about it, just ask!

Maybe do some research. Tucker Max is a lawyer and as far as too stupid, the guy has a BA from the University of Chicago in Economics and received a free ride to Duke Law School, he was recruited by a law firm called Fenwick and West in California, a little lawfirm which has clients like Apple, Facebook, HP among others.

He decided not to practice law after that and made a ton more money by writing books like I hope they serve beer in hell.

But nice try

I was wondering if it was the same Tucker Max. Guy is far from stupid that's for sure, even though his books may tell a different story.

Sushi Pants is certainly a much different story than "far from stupid", but everyone has stuff like that in their life. It's the stupid that eventually makes us smart.

An audio montage of "Sweet Little Lies" by QR77.

Liberals are now getting involved, calling it Tobaccogate.

So in a week the province comes out saying they are 3 billion in the hole the wildrose uses all 9 questions in question period to ask about the Redford saga. Sure Redford doesn't look great but the wildrose IMO are clearly proving they can never run this province as they are more concerned about everything but how this province should be run. When asked what they would do to bring this province they still have no plan and told us to wait till Janurary.

Well since you did your research why did you conveniently leave out the fact he was fired from his first and only associate job (Fenwick and West), only weeks after being hired?

Like I thought he was an utter failure at being a lawyer.

He went on to be successful but I can see why he's a bitter lawyer.

What's interesting about Redford's letter selecting the firm, which is not actually JSS Barristers, but is International Tobacco Recovery Lawyers, with JSS Barristers forming some sort of one-purpose partnership with them, is that they are actually based in Ontario, but have Alberta ties. Each of the two other firms which weren't selected are arguably more Alberta based (Bennett Jones and McLennan Ross).

That's what I find really odd about her letter which claims to be based on a "made in Alberta" justification. Were that the case, each of the other two firms would have been the better choice.
