I'm not very well read on this subject, so after today's election results what does this all mean for the Coyotes?
Forgive me for my ignorance.

As unclear as ever. The new council is not sworn in until the New Year.

Once the lockout ends and the ailing Coyotes have served their purpose of dragging down league revenues (DM will like that ) do you think they will seriously look at relocation?
The relocation fee should recover any lost revenue due to the lockout.

I'm betting the league is already seriously looking at relocation. Without Glendale paying the majority of the losses, the NHL won't let the team hang around long. Jamison either has to get this sealed soon, or I think they are somewhere else in 2013-14.

Given that Winnipegers were giant d-bags as it relates to all things Coyotes until they got the Thrashers, the answer is yes. They, and Canadians from elsewhere, were pretty damned embarrassing with their behaviour at times.

Yes, There are probably more people in Canada who know more about Glendale politics than in the state of Arizona.
The Prop being shut down all but secures the deal. We should see a vote as soon as December 11th. Depending on the lockout, if it's resolved by Dec 1st and we don't have a deal by Jan 1st with CoG and Jamison this team is gone next year.

Voters rejected Prop 457, not to save the Coyotes, but to protect basic municipal services.
http://www.azcentral.com/community/g...ition-457.html
Unless the AMF is reduced from $16 M to $6 - $9 M, I think GWI can drive a truck through that subsidy.
If this continues until the New Year, I think two council members will support the current deal, two would support a deal with a reduced AMF, and two are totally opposed to any deal.

Remaining council:
Knaack: For
Martinez: For
Alvarez: Against
Changing council:
Clark: For --------> Chavira: Against
Scruggs: Against------> Weiers: Against
Liberman: Against-----> ??
Frate: For--------> ??
Weiers wins Glendale mayoral race

His message on Tuesday night to the Coyotes and the baseball teams at the city’s spring-training ballpark: “Glendale is not your cash register.”

I thought the new Mayor was against handouts to help the team?
this pretty much signals the end no?

If council can vote on the deal before Dec 31st, they likely have the votes to endorse the deal. That's quite a parting gift to the citizens of Glendale.

The vote was already done. There is nothing holding Jamison up but Jamison at this point.
In short, you're probably boned.

Why is that lady so bitter at Canadians ... it's the lack of local support which caused the Coyotes to be in the situation they are.

Incorrect, the new lease will need to be posted to the City of Glendale website, and voted on 7 days later.
It's a new agreement and requires a new vote. Jamison's group has all the financing in Escrow at this point. As far as he is concerned it is ready to be delivered.

As noted, Canadian behaviour towards Glendale has been deplorable.
