Trading seems much improved. Still though, I don't like many of their definitions. How are Iginla and Pronger not top line players? Why can't you succeed if you play them in their real life roles?
So indeed, I think some editing needs to be done.
Well it is pretty accurate for Iginla. He is getting older and probably is more a second liner than first line player.

EA Sports is obviously HF Boards, where once a player hits his 30's all value and ability is gone and lost forever and in its place you have a multi million dollar anchor weighing you down.

On how many teams would Iginla not play on the first line?
By my count? He would play on the first line on 75%+ of the league. NHL teams by Iginla first line, taking into account teams having set lines already... i.e. he is better than Hartnell but Philly probably aren't splitting up Giroux and Hartnell.
Yes: BOS BUF CAR COL CBJ DAL DET EDM FLA LA MIN MON NSH NJ PIT SJ WSH WPG
No: ANA CHI PHI NYR TBL VAN
Maybe: NYI STL TOR (obviously he's better than Lupul but chemistry etc etc)
^ If you missed it, this year roster updates will adjust player ratings, so I imagine Cervenka will go up once he starts playing. I.e. people complaining about Vancouver ratings being too high when they came out, when I started that GM mode I noticed they nerfed a bunch of them compared to the demo versions of players you could get in the HUT packs (Malhotra from 82 down to 78, Raymond dropped 2 points).
BTW the early access version doesn't have HUT and that's what I really want to play right now. I've played some online vs., which is fun, and some EASHL which I'm just not feeling right now. Given that they advertised the early access version as being identical to the full game that's kind of a piss-off, but whatever, I guess I'll play it tomorrow.

With a good possession driving center? Every team. But his possession numbers and playing style would probably be better suited on the second line now on a deep team.
Played it at a friends and playing it on all star/hardcore, man is it hard. They really stepped up the AI. I love the true broadcast angle, it really looks amazing.
For those who haven't traded in NHL 12 towards NHL 13 yet, do it quick! Just traded mine in yesterday at EB Games and any game you trade in that's worth $8 and higher will get you 30% off of NHL 13.
NHL 12 is worth exactly $8 to trade-in, which will get you a nice $20 (30% of $60) off NHL 13. But if you don't do it quick the value for NHL 12 is going to plummet.
