Ups beeped a couple times but the only major issues for us is our gazebo thing has tried to blow around & Neighbor has some random wood in their backyard and a couple prices ended up on our deck.

The wind literally blew a tree apart in front of my building.
It tore off nearly every branch

Looking at some of the pictures from DT, looks to be the right decision to close it off. You get smoked with a huge piece of glass or debris falling from 20+ stories, you're a gonner.
Good thing it's not a weekday, I suppose.

My parents are down by eau claire right now helping my grandma move in to her new condo, they say the wind is settling down there, was very confused when I told them the downtown core is closed to traffic now.

I was on my way downtown when I got the message. Staying home I guess.
 Where are pics of DT?

Just went out for a smoke, the front of my building looks like it was hit by a tornado, it stripped off the weather stripping and exposed the building down to the plywood in a lot of spots, the courtyard looks like a disaster zone with ripped up trees and building debris.

Looks like the Dome Tower has windows blown out on the higher floors and debris on 2nd St and beyond.

Was just downtown, chaos ensued. It looks as though all the construction along 7th avenue was blown apart. Tar barrels and their remnants littered everywhere. The courtyard area north of 7th avenue and 2nd St looked like a warzone.

I was on site in Lethbridge once when some idiot chased his hat under a moving semi . If I had happened to be looking out the window behind me, I would have seen him get crushed to death.
