I really hope that Deb and that new detective don't get together.

I've had enough of her romantic misadventures.

I doubt it - I think he's got a LOT bigger part to play in this series yet. He's representing all that is good about religion and I think the writers will want that to hang around past 6 episodes.

Just saw the last 3 episodes.

The angel killing was freaky.
Mike Anderson says he's married so I hope he stays away from the Dexter Ho AKA Deb.
So Travis is not the killer, Geller is doing all the killings but didn't Deb and Dex conclude the killings were messy (especially the 4 apocalypse), so Travis lied.

I don't even know the purpose of Masuka's interns, he's had 3 already but I wonder why Ice truck killings are being referenced so much. Maybe the brother is back in the end. I can't remember but did he escape or was he killed?

But after previous seasons where the cops only found the real killer in the last episode, this one they narrowed it down quite easily and quickly.

Overall, I love Dexter. Can't wait to see next week.

I think you are reading too much into his reaction. As much as I like Dexter, they don't put those types of subtleties into it, which is why we get a few fails in logic.

What evidence do you have to support this? Have any characters been seen talking to him? Has he interacted with any character on the show except Hanks?

Just because the guy had a website doesn't mean he's real. Harry was real at some point and he's Dexter's dark passenger.
I could get on board with this theory. It would make more sense that it was Travis that hooked up with a long a string of brunette TAs at the University than the Olomos character. He's better looking, closer to her age, can be charming when he wants to be and he seems to be much more of a ladies man than Olomos. Plus the one TA the police spoke with described him as having two sides to him.

It was also him that selected the brunette waitress.

Having Brother Sam killed off that way was poor writing. They developed an interesting character that added another dynamic to Dexters character and inner conflict. They could have really built on this new estranged but yet close friendship.

Then to just write him out of the show, so abruptly. Weak writing I thought.

So far John Lithgow was far more menacing last season then Edward James Almos. This character is just demented but not terrifying.
For this being a eposide at Halloween (schedule wise) it was just so so.

He might not be dead..You would think 3 bullets would finish him off but who knows, we'll find out on Sunday.

I take back what I said about Mos Def being dead, I thought the 3rd shot finished him off (but off screen). I re-watched the end and he just bleeds out with his dog.

I think the beginning of the next ep. will be with him going to the hospital and Dex coming to be by his side.

This had made Dexter such a #####. I liked it better when he had no friends.

I have bell and I noticed Dexter wasn't going to PVR this Sunday. I took a closer look and they changed the time to an 11 o'clock start rather than it's usual 10 o'clock start.

the preview for next week shows Brother Sam in the hospital in intensive care, so he's not dead just yet

In my opinion it is horrible writing to bring the character of Brian Moser back. I think the whole reason is to....feed people's nostaligia. You know, to use references from previous successful seasons to raise viewership.

I guess that's what happens when the original show-runner (Clyde Phillips) leaves the show.

Best episode of the season for me last night. Conflicted Dexter really had me trying to figure out what he was going to do. I can't believe I'm saying this but Angel and Quinn are actually entertaining this season.

Ultimately, I think every season needs Dexter to be on the verge of getting caught. I loved the Bay Harbor Bucher storyline. I think that is the only thing missing for me right now. Lets hope that Masuka's intern is on to Dexter somehow.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? You really believe this is just a ratings grab? You realize that Brian is dead right?

This was by far the best episodes of the season and possibly the best episode since the finale of season 4.

First I just wanted to say that it is as obvious as ever that Olmos isn't real. They even mentioned that Hanks is a good painter and then they showed Olmos painting the picture of the whore.

Back to Brian. It seems somewhat obvious to me what Brian represents. Back in season 2 Dexter was having visions of Moser in place of Harry. Dex was questioning his code and coming to grip with the guilt of finding out that Harry killed himself after he saw one of Dexter's kills.

In season 6 context, Moser represented the dark side of Dexter's dark passenger. Crazy to think that Harry may actually be the light in Dexter, at least in terms of his dark passenger. Seeing Dex struggle with his dark side was tremendous, especially when that POS Nick was happy about Sam dying.

I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Interesting interview with one of the show's producers. Reinforces the idea that the Dark Passenger really took over Dex.

The return of Brian Moser was awesome. I'm probably looking into it too much, but did any else think Dexter sort of smiled at the end of the episode after seeing Brian?

Dexter is pure evil and I love it.

I can't believe people think this show is stale, it's still top notch.
