Basically the argument is that there's a lot of risk and therefore the public needs to know. Silly, because what the admnistration wanted to go in camera for is a report that may affect negociating strategy. Of course, that should be in camera.

I don't think the Airport Authority is causing problems, they're just being careful since this is obviously pretty short notice for a major change and they don't want to lose money or run into problems during construction, and it's on their land so they have some say.

They will discuss in camera for only the incamera items. The main discussion on the tunnel will be back out in the public.

I imagine the term is confusing for many since they're obviously OUT of the view of the camera right now. Silly council terminology.

^Yeah there was an amendment put forth by Ald. Farrell to have Administration report back exploring alternative funding methods including a levy, other levels of government and tolls. So if both the amendment and the motion pass, we won't know about things like tolls until later on.

Oh, and the downgrading of Metis Trail is proposed as an amendment to the Airport Tunnel notice of motion, but it sounds like the appetite is to revisit that later as its own notice of motion.
