Its bad. Very bad. Not helping that Johnson is standing around marking a grand total of no one on the winning goal.
Made even worse by the fact that the only reason it wasnt worse was because of Reina.

Liverpool really are in freefall. Dalglish is having little effect on them. You would think that there would have been an instant return just because. Not so. The problems run very deep.
1 win away from home on the league. One! It's beyond brutal.something like 8 defeats now away. That's relegation form anyway you cut it.

How can everyone not see the improvement? Even though the results are still sadly the same, he's only been on the job 4 days(after being on a cruise in Dubai, which he had to leave early from) and their is less hoofs, the ball is being played along the floor and he's at least experimenting with the players.
He's just experimenting to see what works best, and so we're seeing Poulsen behind the more attacking midfield players since Lucas is going forward to cover for Gerrard being away.
Once Stevie is back, I have full confidence we'll be back to normal. I'd like to see Kelly and Agger together in the middle with Aurelio and Glen wide. With Lucas-Meireles in the middle, Gerrard just in front of them, Maxi and Kuyt out wide and then Torres up front.
King Kenny said it best, first we have to take baby steps.

Oh so a mediocre manager can't make a medicore team great?
Is that really a surprise to Liverpool fans?
I know the heads have been in the sand for awhile and that Roy was a convenient excuse but not even the so-called great "King" Kenny can make this pile of chikcen bleep into chicken salad.

"so called great King Kenny" hah. Clueless ####. Kenny defines what LFC is all about, and you'd have a hard time finding any single person who knows anything about football that would have anything bad to say, or that doesn't hold him in the highest regard.
But, you, being the #### that you are, have given him 2 games, 1 and a half without Gerrard, and one at OT away with Webb reffing(which is an automatic United win), to decide he can't do it. He only took the job 5 days ago, and has had little time to impose his ideas. He was in the middle of a 2 week cruise in the middle East, and literally had to ask the captain of the ship to go to port so he could get back(he said the captain was nice enough to do it). So forgive him, if he doesn't have every small detail planned out. He's got ideas, and he's getting his feet wet again.
People said Hodgson didn't have time to make the club his, but the team's style changed drastically. It was hoof to Torres or Ngog who were supposed to knock it down and hold it. Neither are suited to that terrible style. It was a rigid 442, which our midfield isn't built to play. It was man to man marking, which is 100x worse than the "terrible" zonal marking. It was a very deep backline(a good 15-20 yards further back). It was conceding possession to everyone.
There's tons of bad habits within the club because of Roy. Dalglish has already gone back to one striker, which better suits Torres who has 1 goal in 2 games, and has been on the ball alot more since he's taken over, it's been passes along the floor, and even though there still making rushed decisions, the idea is there, it's going back to a 4231 which is what this team is built to do, it's holding possession instead of forcing a long ball that never works.
I suggest you #### off, and possibly learn something about the club before you try and pop in here and pretend to know something about it.

Well now I feel like an ####### hahahaha.
Great response Jagger.
The taunting over tragic events of the past goes both ways, and I also don't support it, it was just caught right on TV this time around.

I want to see Glen Johnson sold to the highest bidder or moved to midfield or something.
He was practically solely responsible for all 3 Blackburn goals against and was standing around doing nothing let alone marking the man right in front of him on Blackpool's winner.
Hes a defensive disaster.
And King Kenny has made a drastic improvement because his style of play isnt patently ######ed. I'm sorry, but 'hoof the ball to the forwards' is a pathetically '90s' way to play that doesnt work anymore.
Give him some time and I think we'll see some improvement. At the very least they showed some heart at the Toilet and didnt roll over and die when everything went against them.
One thing that I am hoping for is that Kenny makes it possible to keep Agger, I'd like to see Agger and Skrtel in CB and Kelly has really earned himself a decent spot on the defensive wings over the last few games.

Merseyside Derby tomorrow. Got the Toffees ahead of us on goal differential. Let's fix the table slightly.

Ryan Babel fined £10,000 for Howard Webb Twitter post.
It was hilarious, but he had to know this was coming.

My guess is that he won't be doing anything like that again any time soon. 10,000 quid is nothng to scoff at, regardless of how much these guys make.
Still, it was funny though and arguably one of the best contributions that Babel has done for Liverpool. (That's sad in itself.)

Yep. He's been absolute crap pretty much since that year he was supersub (2006-07 or so, maybe the year after).
Anyways, rumour mill has us going after Stewart Downing from Villa. Winger, he's their leading goal scorer (not saying too much I know, but whatever), and plays on the left wing.

Reports say that Babel is more than likely gone, either to Ajax in part of an exchange for Luis Suarez, or to Hoffenheim.
I'd like to Suarez here, proven goal scorer that can give Torres some rest, having Torres as your only guy up there with Stevie is tough, its too easy for defenders to key on him and he still burns them, hes that good, but having help in the form of a solid goal scorer/unknown quantity in Suarez would maybe give Torres some breathing room up front. Its better than Ngog at any rate.
Rumour is that Liverpool want to sell Babel, Hoffenheim offered €7M, but they say that Babel doesnt want to be sold. He wants out on a short term loan so he can get some first team time in and then come back to Liverpool next season.
Further, there are rumours that they're after Mark van Bommel from Bayern. That would be a spectacular buy depending on the money. If you want to talk about a guy who can instantly replace Javier Mascherano and chip in the occasional goal as well then hes the man. Gotta beat out Spurs and AC first though.
Even further still, it seems that West Ham want to try and offer to take Joe Cole on a loan. Now, thats a long shot, but colour me supremely unimpressed with Joe Cole. Be it injury, suspension, poor form or whatever, but Joe Cole has brought a whole lot of nothing to this squad. That being said though, Liverpool arent in a position to be disposing of depth of that quality at this point.
Change is coming, thats positive at the very least. That and Stevie came out and said he'd give 150% for King Kenny when he gets back. Stevie at 80% is better than most of the EPL at their best, Supercharged Steven Gerrard, well, I'd like to see that.

Any idea how much Suarez would cost Liverpool? I think he would be very good signing for the Reds to play alongside Torres.

Great post.
Gerrard is a great player but I still can't wrap my head around this gem of a quote which is from August when Joe Cole was acquired.
"[Lionel] Messi can do some amazing things, but anything he can do Joe can do as well, if not better. I really fancy Joe for the [player of the year] award this season.
Joe Cole has been a huge disappointment but I do agree that Liverpool shouldn't loan him with their lack of depth.

What a game, holy crap is Wolves' turf complete garbage.
In any event, I'm really beginning to like Meireles. He had a solid game, but the one thing Liverpool have to really start focusing on is discipline, when you're fouling Wolves 3:1 or more and giving away stupid free kicks that close to your own box then you've got discipline issues.
Good teams will punish you for that many free kicks that close to your goal.
Either way, it was a solid performance, good win for the King and Mereiles had a spectacular goal and an overall very good game. I loved hearing Macca talk about that goal, it was hilarious he was laughing and going on about it for like 5 minutes, really entertaining stuff.

Not a clue, Ajax probably want a fair bit for him.
