It was one call I'd certainly call questionable, but had he done it on the sidelines or to the crowd there's no way it would have been called.
You don't do that in front of an opposing player, and it's not like it was after a TD or an interception.

I find it hilarious that Rider fans have the nerve to actually state that the game was well reffed and had no impact on the game. Hey, maybe you don't agree that it decided the game (although it did), but it's ridiculous to state that some of the calls made and the timing of them were all perfect and didn't affect the Riders' perfect effort.

How could the reffing not have had an impact when the game winning touchdown drive came after the questionable review overturn on Cates' fumble (and considering Rider fans in this thread have said it was close and could've gone either way, it's pretty obvious that it was inconclusive at best) and after a questionable illegal contact call after the Stamps had stopped the Riders on 2nd and goal inside the 5 for the second time in the game?

Both teams couldn't move the ball because of the weather, but only one team got second chances because of the refs. In fact, the Stamps had several drives in the 1st half that were stopped in their tracks (putting them in 2nd and 20ish situations) because of questionable calls (Lewis' unnecessary roughness on the 1st drive, Burris' intentional grounding that only gets called one way).

A sack is a pretty major play. A 36 yard reception, not so much.
Who knows what was said? The ref was standing within ear shot. There could have been a lot more than flexing in the dudes face. As far as thinking it's worth a penalty, I did say it was questionable.

In terms of beaking another player? It's a big catch, celebrate it. He didn't catch it due to the other team, he caught it because he was in position and the QB drilled it to him.

In a sack, you've just stopped the other team for a loss of yards. Beak all you want.

A taunting penlaty has nothing to do with what actually happened on the play.

There is no rule that says if you sack a guy you are welcome to taunt him but if it is onyl a 35 yard catch no dice.

it was a garbage call whether after a sack or after the catch.

I agree and disagree with some of this. The intentional grounding call was bogus, ill give you that, and Durant should have been called on it. But the Browner penalties were legit. You can't knock down a receiver in his route, regardless if hes 150lbs or not (as Browner indicated in the post game), and you cant grab a guy after five yards (which he did on the play which then led to the Cates touchdown).
Would I say the officiating was good today? Absolutely not. But some "questionable' calls were penalties in my eye.

I quit watching after the taunting call. I just couldn't watch anymore.

I really don't know if I ever want to watch another CFL game at this point. I mean, is it too much just to ask for the players to be allowed to play football, and decide the outcome of the game without momentum killing discretionary calls?

Al Cameron has been a complete idiot when it comes to the Stamps this year so it will be interesting to see what he has to say.

I will edit the post after reading but wanted to make it clear that I think he was idiot regardless of whether he was right or wrong in his assessment.

Well good to see Cameron didn't disappoint.

The guy has shown all season why he is a curling expert and once again is completely wrong in his assessment on what happened.
