Well I doubt it was Whoopie or the other hosts doing the inviting. Whoever is in charge got what they wanted though, we're discussing the show and so are others, so that should help ratings. It is show business after all.

For a third time you don't post anything worth understanding. You fail to understand the basic premise of misogyny so i am not surprise you are struggling with understanding what was actually said.

Those girls miss hosting all the time to do their own thing so I am sure they could have skipped this show if they knew it would be too tough for them to handle it. I doubt they wanted to though and were looking forward to the confrontation with O'Reilly.

This thread is super hilarious. So many really funny posts. Keep em coming people.
Also, this mosque thing, the fact that it's an issue at all let alone the staggeringly important topic it has become is not only a reflection as to the American media's wizard-like precision in the deflection of actual topics and news but is almost frightening as a revelation in what Americans actually think.
The show is terrible. I couldn't understand what any of them were actually saying when they all started screaming.

You must be a fan and watch this show to actually know this.

That doesn't really make sense. Wouldn't you have understand something to know it's not worth it?

One of the bigger jokes in US society right now is people like Bill O'Reilly running around on these useless shows advertising his books (a term I use very loosely in this instance).
Anyone who has picked up and flipped through any of his books should get flashbacks of double-spaced stories they wrote in elementary school. The vocabulary is about as broad, and the writing similarly accomplished and compelling.
There's bitter irony in having a great writer like David Foster Wallace kill himself and leave the writing landscape free for *ahem* authors like O'Reilly to transfer their thoughts to paper for posterity.

Too bad SNL is not live this week, or they would be doing this.

There are some epically bundled panties in this thread. It is awesome.
Also, Whoopie is a man.

I bet Bill and Whoopie and Joy cooked the whole thing up together, for publicity.

Damn, Bill took those ladies to school. Maybe Joy will do some research next time and won't come across as a frustrated little girl.

(Is late to the party)
The only reason I've EVER heard is because "it's Ground Zero because a landing gear hit the building while the plane was in flight".
I'm 99% sure Ground Zero was defined as the World Trade Center site for those two attacks, right?

I think the NY Post has declared basically anything South of Houston to be Ground Zero. At least when it comes to them A-rabs.

From 30 Rock:
Tracy Jordan: "There's nothing wrong with a black comedian doing drag! Eddy did it, Martin did it. Hell, Whoopi Goldberg does it every day!"

You seriously think that if we had a poll here asking if Bill did a good job of presenting a convincing argument against the mosque, you think most would agree with that?
There is no convincing argument against the mosque. Bill has framed it in the only way possible:
"We shouldn't have it there because the majority of people, for whatever reason, think it is inappropriate". Bill doesn't want to know the reason people are against it. It would hurt his cause, so he's not going to open that box.
I like "The View". It's a poor woman's "Politically Incorrect". I like that there is a forum for women with strong opinions to voice those opinions. There certainly is backlash (evidenced by this thread). Some at CP seem to think that women are supposed to simply be pretty and in the kitchen making them sandwich.

I think Joy Behar is the best of them and she makes good points from time to time, but I'm just not a fan of the level of dialogue of the show. For me, the View is annoying because its a bunch of mediocre minds. I'd appreciate some smarter hosts.

Naw, I think everyday folk work best.... that's why I liked all the celebrity guests on "Politically Incorrect". If the show is to relate to the everyday Jane, the level of discussion can't be that of, say, a Yale professor.
