I thought Nenshi was going to unveil that he was an Oilers fan.

As has been pointed out before, McCourt is like that to everyone. There's no bias against her, unless he's biased against everyone else too. Higgins should've been ready. If she can't prepare for an interview, I doubt she'll be adequately prepared to run the city either.

McIver hasnt even been interviewed yet, not sure how you can make that claim. Its one thing to question policy, its another to basically call the candidate a puppet and a political neophyte. There was no substance to those questions, it was about creating a reaction. Fug I feel like I'm defending Barb Higgins, who I definitely do not support.

Is he planning on getting interviewed? or is he going to do the smart thing and stay far away from "the hot seat"?

To be fair he did have a go at Nenshi, although I think he was more condescending to Barb.

Apparently he also called Burrows a "loser" when he interviewed him in the hot seat.

Barb on Qr77 when asked about a potential 3-way debate sounds like she thinks the world is out to get her. It's bizarre.

I still put a lot of the blame on Higgins because she allowed it to get out of hand. It was what McCourt aims to do and she allowed him to get under her skin. She became really defensive about the marionnette question and couldn't regain her poise.

Election campaigns are exhausting in every way. It may have been the exhaustion talking but all of the candidates are going through the same thing. Nenshi has maintained the utmost in poise and composure in spite of the stress and it is just one more reason why he should be mayor.

I suspect that if Nenshi had had to fire his campaign manager, he would have been asked about it as well. Bottom line is McCourt tries to make everyone look bad, and he works with what the candidates give him. Maybe if Higgins had showed up at the SAIT/Calgary Chamber of Commerce forum, she would have gained some insight into how he operates.

Online in Twitter, CP, SSP, even Beyond.ca, Herald comments are all a bit of a Nenshi love-in. But it is amazing how people have coalesced behind him.
