Hey, thanks for filling me in on the robbery status of the friend I had lunch with twice this week.
See, if I didn't know that his house was broken into three times in about a month, I probalby would have had a tough time trying to figure out which of the single B&Es was him
Someone ELSE got broken into a week after him.

Woah, easy there tiger. Sorry if I'm not up-to-date on which forum members know each other personally. My post was more in a making-light-of the-situation tone in the first place since that's how hulkrogan seemed to be handling it.
Anyhow, in that case, sucks hulkrogan AND his neighbour.
In your opinion, eh? Do you live here? There's some duplexes on the lower side, but for the most part it's a pretty nice community.
No, I don't live there... because my real estate agent told me what I posted in my thread after i asked him why he rarely considered houses for me in that area when they seem reasonably priced.
I highly doubt you'd have any problems there, but let's get serious. It isn't exactly a high-desired community.
Renters = higher potential for trouble, and there are plenty of renters in that area of town.

Twice in a week? That's a little weird dude.

Is there really "safe" neighbourhoods anymore? In this city there is no where that is completely safe. How many homicides, assaults and countless other crimes are committed in what have been traditionally "safe" communities? Whenever there is a shooting or something else like this everyone comes out with the "must have been Forest Lawn" talk. But these things cycle and move. Now, I'm not saying Forest Lawn or Dover or Marlborough are fantastic areas as of now, but I feel just as safe driving thru there as I do driving in a number of other places in the city.
I attended church as a kid in Inglewood and at the time it was a dump. Not the trendy neighbourhood it is today. Across the street from the corner store we used to grab candy and pop at, was a japanese porn theatre. This is now the revamped Garry Theatre.
All I'm getting at is this stuff is happening all over the place. We have gang problems and all the other things that come with living in a city this size. Hard to get around it no matter where you might try to go.
As to the OP, I hope the police are taking care of the issue and that this family and the other innocent people in the area are ok. That's really all that matters. Keep us posted.
As said by Jets4life...it's still nothing compared to Winnipeg. Been here over 12 years. I've lived in Midnapore, Palliser, New Brighton now. I've had a jacket stolen from a car by bums, and that's it.

That guy was a former collector for the Angels, a little too good at his job and was very unliked. Police fear this is a first step in the Angels cleaning up a few loose ends and that there could be a little more violence on the way.
