Lethbridge got drilled today. The whole city shut down. Haven't seen the roads that bad since I got here in 2002.

Yep. It was crazy. Close to a foot of heavy, wet snow with the consistency of wet concrete.
Broken branches everywhere, the schools closed, and tons of power lines down. 2/3 of the city was without electricity for nearly 10 hours - some areas for even longer and there are still some of the outlying communities that don't have power back yet. Without a 4x4 you weren't going anywhere yesterday morning, and even if you did it was on the worst roads we have had all winter. Our water even shut off for a couple of hours in the morning - it was the first time I can remember service outages that long since I was a kid.

Not to today, but Thursday. FML.
Actually it wasn't too bad last night on my summer tires. Mostly wet roads with some slush. Not too cold, relatively speaking.

Tomorrow sounds fun!
Wednesday
Cloudy. Rain beginning near noon. Amount 10 mm. Wind northwest 20 km/h increasing to 40 gusting to 60 in the morning. High 7.
Wednesday night
Rain mixed with snow changing to snow near midnight. Rainfall amount 10 mm. Snowfall amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 except gusting to 80 at times in the evening. Low plus 1.
Thursday/Friday are still too far away to accurately determine amount. I wouldn't put too much weight into what the weather channel even says. Use this: http://weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/page..._metric_e.html

Weather Network is saying:
Thursday-Friday (24 hr period) between 15 & 25 cm with Lows around +1 in the evenings and highs of only +3 both days.
Man I hope they are wrong!!
