guess it was the athletes who had more say

they are interviewing the 3 Canadian women's mogul skiers and they all say the weather was perfect last night

the only thing they care about is fog, and there was none of that

Apparently all the standing room tickets at Cypress Mountain for the snowboard cross have been canceled over the next two days. The reason being unsafe conditions for spectators. 8,000 tickets canceled at 50 bucks a pop...bye bye half a million bucks!

Was at Cypress for a truly awesome mogul event today. Sunny for qualifications made it a bit slushy perhaps but for soft snow. Awesome afternoon for the spectators. The evening (finals) was perfect for the skiers and while cool for the spectators when the sun disappeared it was a damn good night.

Yes, there are issues with these games, I'm sure there are with all games. It's very Canadian of us to focus on the negatives and ignore the good things. I say they all balance out and the good overwhelms the bad.

Anyway, my memory of these games will be tonight. What a fantastic way to celebrate my birthday watching my country win a gold medal.

I was in torino for just under a week, there was freezing rain for at least 4 of the days I was there. Weather issues are par for the course at the Winter games, anyone from a mountainous area knows that weather in such areas is always unpredictable.
