So with the death of Tiger, does the PGA crumble too? Wouldn't mind if TSN stopped carrying their events.

Seriously? The ratings for Tiger's return tournament are going to be through the roof.

People don't watch golf cause they like golf, they watch Tiger. I never understood that.

Yes if Tiger plays poorly, people will walk away.

This describes me. Only time I watch golf is when Tiger is competing for a major.

Why? You must not like golf then or else why watch it at all?
If you liked golf, you'd watch it all the time.

If our house was forced to cancel all channels except one, I would insist it was The Golf Channel. I've been avoiding it the past couple of weeks (except for the Big Break) as they've gone all Tiger all the time.
It will be interesting when (if?) Tiger returns to tournament golf. But that won't stop me from watching any tournament I can.

and thats great. You get the golF channel because you like to watch golf.

I wish TSN wouldn't waste hours and hours of coverage on this 'sport' especially during prime sporting hours on the weekend.

Watch the next scandal to errupt will be that Tiger went bare back on these excapades and gave his wife a scorching case of herpes.

Or knocked up one of these bimbo's.

You know its coming, sniff sniff, you can smell it in the air.

This is normal behavior for an "Alpha Male" of our species.

In nature an "Alpha Male" gets to mate with the most females.

"Marriage" and "morals" are social constructs made by people which is why they are not always followed...they are not natural.

What are the ratings like for golf on TSN? I think it does well on the US networks.

People who watch golf will still watch golf. Just because some people onyl watch it for Tiger doesn't mean everyone does. Does he help the ratings? Hell ya. But people who love golf (me) will still watch it.

Golf is just as much of a sport than anything else they show on TSN.

That is a pretty ignorant comment. Akin to telling someone to get NHL CI since they like hockey so it can free up the airwaves for basketball.

A lot of people watch golf. I love watching the majors and I will watch a few other tournaments as well. I am hoping Tiger misses some competitions because then you actually get to see coverage of other golfers, rather than watching 18 holes of Tiger and tape delayed putts of other golfers.

If this were true I doubt that that NBC/CBS would devote the amount of coverage to the majors that they do.

I could argue that a Major Championship in golf without Tiger would outdraw the Stanley Cup Finals in North America.

I guess if you compare us to mammals... although other species are also known to mate for life.
