I for one don't mind playing in 2 leagues. If we want to start a new one, great. We can play in both. If one gets stale, close it down.

A 2nd league sounds like a good idea.

Invite the most active users as of (insert date of 'finalized' initial roster) and anyone who didn't make it into league #1, invert or randomize the team selection order, if one (or both) league gets stale then combine them.

Ok, when I get home at like 10:30ish (not 9:30, I'm going to the bar), I'll create the new league for the ones who are super committed. I'll call it "JPeeper's Party House", password is "peeper". I dib's Calgary.

I'm confused here.
Why is a second league starting up?

As I see it, there is no rush to really get the league started. I think as long as everyone is done by the end of the actual NHL season, everyone will be happy.

We can for sure get 30 people signed up and playing.

Justin: You say 17 have already signed up.
Could you possibly update us and state who/which teams have officially signed up? We can then start PMing people and see where they stand.

So 17 already going.
My and Double Dion waiting on system = 19
FKA waiting on disc = 20
2 others already stated that they were gone for a couple weeks = 22

If my numbers are correct, that leave 8 people missing.
I say we find out who these 8 are (are they long time CPers, or people who just randomly stumbled across this league and fled?) Let's PM them, find out what is going on, and come up with a deadline from there.
If some of those 8 still don't sign up/reply by said deadline, then open up their team for a free for all (CPers, friends, whoever)

Again, since people are already playing and the league is going, there isn't any rush for the others necessarily...
Thus I say if people don't respond in any form by Oct. 15 then they are out.

we could make a 15-20 person league as the second one for people who play often, I don't mind playing in both, because there is only ever like 2-5 people online at once.

I am sure I posted a list of the teams who have signed up, since everyone uses a different Xbox Live name to their CP name I listed the teams instead of the users.

I do agree with the long time CP posters. Many of the people who wanted in are n00bs to CP, and their commitment would seem poor (not all, but some). I am in class right now, I will post more later.

GREEN = Haven't signed in, but has provided reason and plans to in near future

EDIT: Assuming all the Greens sign up, we are short 8 spots (RED). What does everyone think is a fair deadline for these people?
Kind of sucks to see the reds at the top of the list. Other than the first 3 I wouldn't care if people just join the league and pick whichever team. The first 3 however I feel many people would want and be willing to trade for.
What does everyone propose we do to settle this?

K, I am interested in whatever league uses the next roster update, thats the main deal.

In league 1, me and cheerio switched teams, we will quit and request rejoins. I would hope that we could continue the first team draft and picks in an updated league if possible.
