We recently purchased a building so we have to move. My boss own 3 different companies so when it comes time to get the Change of Address Forward mail, we have to pay $120 to forward our mail for 6 months unfortunately they only let you enter maximum 2 companies. In our case, I need to buy 2 Forwarding address for $120 each. I don't mind paying for $120 but come on now, why can't i squeezed in another company's name. All these 3 companies are from the same old address going to the same new address.

Okay, well at least your post-"person" has not had you served with "OFFICIAL CANADA POST NOTICE" to cut your trees because they're impeding the postal route and the safety of your post-deliverer. Or something equally ridiculous.

We actually received some official government notice that we were going to be fined for our tree branch that was slightly protruding into the area of the sidewalk. Meanwhile, we're swapping mail on a weekly basis with our neighbour and also the guy who lives at the same house address but one street west of us.

My complaints are mostly for the bills I get from various companies. It's an RR1 address with numbered and lettered mailboxes (like B23) and it isn't the same as my street address. When I moved here, I phoned everyone with the new address and had them repeat it back to me. Some I even filled out on the internet and still half of them get it wrong and my bills and credit cards get sent god knows where, so I have to phone again and again. So it isn't just the letter carriers, that are sometimes incompetent, although some can mess up on a regular basis too, and some can figure out my address even when some company has completely screwed it up.

I hate Canada Post. They can't write my last name properly. It is 4 letters long, and they struggle to write it properly and always write it with an L in it. Idiots. I hate it even more when I go to pick a parcel up and they say "The package is for Mr.*****" (wrong) and then it takes them a minute to realize they didn't spell my name right. Idiots.

This happens more often than people know. For every mistake a letter carrier makes, there are five letters/parcels that they save because they were able to figure out somebody's cryptic attempt at writing an address.

I mail a lot of stuff now and when I get returned mail, I always have to call the person and find out if they've moved or whatever... At least twice I've called the person only to be told they've lived there for years and I have their address correct.

Did anyone watch Global last night?
http://www.globaltvedmonton.com/video/index.html

It is about the 29 minute mark.

Some houses in Edmonton are not getting mail due the mail box being to low etc...

One house was not getting mail because of uneven grass but the there is a video that should the postal work short cutting across the grass.

Now that all I get is junk mail, I usually only go to the mailbox once a week. Anything important I track on the internet anyway.

The postal service is putting itself out of business by agreeing to deliver so much junk mail. It seems to have forgotten that it was supposed to be a service for the people - not the corporations.

Just my 2 cents.
