That's quite a rarity. Normally July in Calgary is absolutely gorgeous.

^^ Really?
You can usually count on one day of Stampede each year either hailing/snowing or just absolutely freezing.

1/31 isn't exactly a trend. I was in Atlanta for a week in July last year and I experienced one of the longest and coldest rainstorms that I have ever seen. Happens everywhere.

man i've lived in Calgary practically all my life and i can't remember a more worse winter. The amount of snow and the frigid temperatures of -35 and colder for long periods of time. Thank god i went to Pheonix for a week just to get away from it. I mean its almost May for gods sake, its not even winter anymore. I hate this so much its so depressing to wake up and see an inch of snow in your backyard. Whatever...

Yeah, I agree. I can't ever remember the weather being this terrible. It's incredibly depressing.

I guess I shouldn't say that I put the air conditioner in my window for the season today, eh?

Snowing like crazy southwest of the city right now.
If you ask me, the mosquitoes can't get here fast enough.

I promise this summer I will not complain about being all sweaty and sticky at night, if the warmth comes soon...
I can't remember a winter like this.

I managed to get a round of golf in this afternoon before the snow came down.
Hope it all melts again by Friday...

As an everyday (sometimes 3 times a day) dog walker, this Winter / Spring has been absolute crap.

I got 2 rounds in early last week before the onset of all the cold weather and snow. Now they say 10-15 centimeters tomorrow night. Gotta be a record for snowfall this winter.

Basically my golf game and my kids rugby season are off to some very bad starts. At least I have all summer if it ever shows up to play golf. But they have had one game cancelled already and have another game on the sked for Tuesday. And yeah snow expected on Monday.
It's gone well beyond sickening!!!!

Judging by some of your other posts, I'm not sure you can blame the weather for that.

Yes, I agree. Summers in Calgary are rarely hot, and the nights are definitely not warm. Due to the geography, it cools down far too much here at night in the summer. I am used to being able to head out at night in shorts and no jacket(when I lived elsewhere). In Calgary, you have to bring a jacket out at night, as it doesnt stay warm at night, even in summer.
Depends on what kind of weather you like. If you like warm and hot summers, this is not the place to be. If you like warm to mild summers with cool nights, then Calgary is good for you.
I personally like warm springs and hot summers, so as one can tell, I am not living in Calgary for the weather, that is for sure.
